Ft. Lauderdale Beach, a VRI Resort

I would give the staff the highest score, they all were friendly and tried hard to be helpful. I personally expected more when a place calls itself a resort. Unfortunately it was far less. Starting with the two elevators, crammed in for a family of six. They're like 3'x3'. Had to wait long when other guest are in it. No room to get in. I made reservation for our family of six. The room has only 1 and a half bathrooms. The furnitures and sofa we had to re-arrange ourselves to make room to allow the wall bed to come down. Horrible is the only word for the sofa and wall mattresses. Not only were they paper thin, allowing every spring to be felt. But noisy. Just trying to roll over made such a racket waking everyone else up. The kids and I barely got any sleep. Finally, the only thing that really made this low score was the presence of roaches! Nothing can be worst than finding them in your room. No matter how clean the room looks, you lost that when there's roaches.

My husband and I were just looking for a getaway and had previously came with our kids so we came to enjoy some downtime on the beach. This location is great and walking distance to everything you need. We didn’t even get a rental car this time, and we were able to get groceries, go to dinner, enjoy time on the beach and not have to carry a lot down because we could just go up to the room for refills and meals. Place could use some updates, but was clean and had everything we needed. Will definitely return.

The best thing was that you had hot water for bathing. The next best thing was that the elevator worked well. The other best thing was Mike the concierge. He was very helpful. The other good thing was the location of the resort to the beach and eaterys The worst was that the sheets and cover on the bed were not fresh. They appeared to be very old and worn. The doors to the adjoining room and the front door are not sealed. Light comes through both, and someone could peep through the adjoining door. The cleanliness of the room was subpar. The floor was not swept well. The pillows have no substance to them. They only look like a pillow. The bedroom needed a trash can in it. Our first room did not have the list of TV stations, and having 500 TV stations to choose from is not fun. There's no one at the desk after midnight. There was no inviting smell or aroma to the resort nor the rooms. It smelled old like a nursing home. The towels were old, and they had no correlation to the decorum of the room. Why not you ask? The room has no decorum. The furniture was hand-me-downs. One last thing is that it was a hair in the shower prior to us.

The units had enough space and to the beach only 100 mtrs, some shops and eat out places in walking distance. Kitchen had modern amenities but overall the apartment wasn't modern and had the atmosphere of the 90s. some fresh white and blue paint with some maritime deco articles would do good to freshen up the experience

The best location for beach going and walking for exercise with Birch State Park nearby as well. There are many good restaurants and cafes in the neighborhood to explore and satisfy a variety of tastes. Though this is an older property, many improvements have been made to the rooms to update the amenities. Towels and toiletries are at a minimum so you may want to bring your own.

This resort is really old now but it's location is fantastic, right on Fort Lauderdale Beach. It is in desperate need of an update but has everything you need. Full kitchen, laundry, pool bar free parking.

It was located in a good spot...beach and restaurants close at hand...some open 24 hours a day. Other restaurants were a short drive.

Friendly staff, clean room when asked for more towels it was instantly provided. Close to everything.

Location, location, location. Walk to beach, bars and restaurants (24 hours 100' from front door!). Rooms look like 1990's decor. Full kitchen with 1.5 bath. Sleeps 6 (Murphy queen and sofa queen along with the king bedroom) somewhat comfortably. Pool is small and pool bar rarely open.Has a Jacuzzi but the star is the beach access (200' from front door). Parking is included which is an added bonus. Sits alongside the Bonnet House gardens. Only half of the rooms face the ocean.
