This hotel was awful! Smelled like **** everywhere, was dirty had bugs, bathroom door was split half way up would not shut, sink wouldn’t drain , no ice machines, fridge was not operational, cub bard door wouldn’t stay open. drug deal going on in parking lot 
Homeless in lot at all times not a place to take children. Front desk very unhelpful. 
Trying to get refund now!

Thia hotel has Great customer service and spacious rooms. They are reasonable and understanding! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I definitely would book a stay there agian!!!

Absolutely terrible I’ll never book there again… literally roaches EVERYWHERE… literally had my boyfriends skin crawling…. 

Our stay was good  the room was clean and the front desk service was pleasant.

The hotel is overall good, but a bit old. The balcony is dripping. There is no stopper in the bathtub and I can only use a towel to block the drain.
But there is a microwave and refrigerator, which is great.

We stopped in unannounced on a roadtrip. The hotel was actually not bad, the beds were nice and the nights stay was a lot cheaper than expected for not booking in advance.  There is not a breakfast which is fine, the room was clean and we would stay again if in the area.  There were a lot of people hanging around late at night, not sure if they were guests or just where the town is. Was not too scary but questionable at that time of night (or morning).

We stayed at the Clarion at Carowinds overnight.    The hotel had clean surfaces, comfortable beds and a nice lobby but that is about the end of the positive side of this review.   Maintenance leaves a lot to be desired.  Our stay started with our drive into the hotel.  There was a cars stopped in the center of the driveway, they were talking and just refused to move,  it took us 5 minutes to get to the lobby entrance after squeezing by the car.    The entire hotel smells like smoke and that smell follows you home,  my eyes and nose had a burning smell the entire time I was there.   The restaurant is a Mexican Restaurant and Bar.    The food is excellent but the bar did not know how to mix drinks.   They tasted like dishwater (Tough to do for a rum and coke).   The outside noise is loud if you are facing the interstate,  and we just did not feel safe.   We will note stay there again.

The room was dirty, holes in the walls and overall in need of maintenance (vent in bathroom hanging out of the wall and smoke detector not connected). Stains were on the floor and there was what appeared to be mold growing on a large water stain over the tub. Also, the door, when closed, left a 1/4” gap about 6-8 inches from the top down. Overall the smell of **** was everywhere. It was not a great experience at all. We rented 2 rooms on the 5th floor and will not make the mistake of staying here again. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because for the price I shouldn’t have expected anything better.
