Only thing is I left my pink cover in the drawers I wish they would have found that. Sucks. Other than that I enjoyed the room very spacious and clean and two tvs with the privacy and huge bed was so good and super comfy. Host was nice and check in was easy so was check out. I'd stay there again and then I'd also recommend this to a friend or family member.
Comfort Inn & Suites Fort Smith I-540

I recently stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites in Fort Smith, AR, with my family and had a very disappointing experience. Upon entering our overly warm double queen room, we were greeted by a musty smell, which we assumed was due to the cleaning materials used by the hotel. The room was poorly lit, only one small lamp, and there were no lights on the ceiling either. We had to use our cell phone lights to move around the room. Once we navigated inside the room and we're unpacking we pulled out the office chair to reveal a hole the size of a basketball in the seat of the chair - it looked to be rescued from the trash, definitely not suitable for a hotel to use. As we finished bringing our bags in, we discovered a dirty washcloth on top of the broken TV table, surrounded by dusty surroundings. Though we were relieved not to find any bed bugs, we noticed that the AC unit was leaking and had flooded the room all the way to the bed, leaving the carpet squishy - that explained the initial foul musty smell in the room. We immediately reported the issues to the front desk, and they relocated us to a different room. This second room had 3 working lamps, thankfully. During our stay, we inquired about the possibility of a late checkout, but the front desk informed us that they were fully booked and we had to vacate the room by 12 noon. Upon checking out, we discovered an additional charge of $20 on top of the hotel stay and maintenance fees. When we called the front desk, they seemed unaware of the charge and sent us a copy of the bill, which did not mention the extra $20 fee. After some back-and-forth, I informed the front desk that a $20 charge was made during the middle of our stay and not on the day of checkin or check-out, according to my credit card statement. The staff said they would leave a note for the manager, who was expected to arrive in the morning and give me a call. However, no one reached out until 1 p.m., so I called the front desk again. This time, a different person claimed they had no knowledge of the charges and couldn't find any record of it in the system. However after that last call, my credit card showed the hotel processed a refund of the extra $20 they randomly charged in the middle of our stay (but only after we called twice and were informed they had not charged us). The lack of transparency regarding the additional charge left us feeling unsettled, especially considering the confusion and inconsistency among the staff when we inquired about it. Overall, our stay was disappointing, and we hope that the hotel addresses these issues to provide better experiences for their guests in the future. Overall, I felt the hotel staff, although nice enough, were unhelpful and seemed unaware of how to manage things and what to say when questioned about the random charges. The condition of the first room was unacceptable. I would not recommend staying at this Comfort Inn & Suites location in Fort Smith based on this experience. Lastly, let

This place is horrible we ended up not even staying. I checked us into the room and before I brought my stuff in I went to check out the room. The desk chair not longer had a cover on it and had peeled off. The coach had stains all over it and the carpet was just disgusting with stains and chunks of stuff everywhere. There was dirt on the closet door and behind the bathroom door I think they forgot to clean. The kitchen was dingy and I would never use those appliances. I spoke to front desk and had them come check out the room and they said they could find me another room. My kids and I decided we did not want that and wanted to check out. I went to the front desk to let them know we wanted our money back and we were checking out. That is when I was told that it is a dog friendly hotel and that is why it is like that and they are on the list of being remodeled. The gentleman tried to be nice after he tried to tell me I did not mention I had dogs at check in. I then told him I certainly did tell the hotel about my dogs when I called that morning and I showed him my phone where I called their hotel. He apologized and then really tried to help me. Additionally by the side door area they were keeping an old inside chair as a place to store their junk. We left and went to the Best Western in Fort Smith much better for the dogs. Do not stay here if you value cleanliness.
