Club Wyndham National Harbor

Make sure you’re in good shape because everything is really far to walk to. If they try to sell you a timeshare and you do not buy it they treat you like a second-class citizen I would never stay there again there’s too many rules and regulations takes the fun out of everything

This a better than average resort in a better than average area of the DC area. 2 pools with free game rooms and will appointed kitchen cinch the deal. There are a few less than perfect things. Parking is paid for. It is in a lot across a quiet street and you have in and out priviledges. The rooms are nice and security seems good enough. There is not laundry in the room but each floor has their own laundry room that is done well. There is no near by metro station. We used the Huntington station in near by Virginia. About a 5-8 minute drive and parking was less that 3 dollars. We were happy with this. Mount Vernon is also near by in Virginia. A very small negative for our very nice handicaped unit was there were no hand railings by the toilets.

The room was nice and clean. This is my go to hotel when I visit National harbor in the future.

The actual building was amazing unfortunately due to all the events ongoing in the city they did deprioritize my reservations. Which made for a somewhat an annoying interaction but that has more to with ******* than Wyndham .

Some issues with hot water in room.

Do not attempt to stay at this establishment unless you want to gamble that they will not honor your reservation and then lie about who the responsible party is. I pulled up at 7:50 PM on a Saturday night and was told ******* cancelled my reservation. That was an outright lie! I pulled up the reservation on my phone and showed them it was still valid. I was told the by receptionist "it was above her pay grade" and then I was escalated to the manager. The manager after reviewing our reservation again repeated ******* cancelled it but had no proof and added even if our reservation was not cancelled there were no longer any rooms available at the hotel. Well there you go, the hotel overbooks, runs out of rooms, and then lies about why you cannot check in. I was given a number to call ******* and spent the next few hours trying to find rooms while the kids are going crazy in the back of the car. I don't think this is an isolated incident. I was parked in the loading zone of the hotel for 2 hours and the porters told us they understood and to take all the time we needed. I would like to thank ******* for making things right and rebooking us into another hotel even though it was no fault of their own.

Indoor pool was closed and wasn’t informed, but overall was nice, clean, and safe
