Nevis Bank Inn

We had a friendly welcome in reception and found our rooms spotless, very well equipped and pleasant. They were not particularly big, but were singles and had all that was needed, The (double) beds in particular were very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good and provided an excellent choice. Staff in all areas were friendly and helpful. For anyone with mobility issues, there is no lift but I believe help was available with luggage if requested. The rooms had walk-in showers.

Onich Hotel & Lochside Beach Pods

Really great Hotel. Cheapest around as well so don’t really get when people book cheap hotels and complain that it’s not 5* 😂. Location is amazing. The Loch is beautiful. Staff are really nice. Rooms have everything you need and are quite spacious. Food is really good although a wee bit expensive but still good sized portions.

So this is not where I wanted to stay in Fort William however I booked with them because I wanted to use up Avios Points and this was the only place in town that took them. So checking in was a breeze, very old school. I was given a key and that was it since I had pre-booked. I liked this. No bond, passports required etc. Check out was also easy and no sly extra charges. The staff were lovely and friendly and room service was done well. I booked a standard room but received one of the Four Poster rooms which was great. Though I did feel I still paid quite a bit for this room, so perhaps they upgraded me. Maybe I did buy the posh room and the Avios website made an error. The Breakfast buffet is well priced and extensive. Perfect for filling up before climbing the Ben. The dinner was okay with a changing menu. The Hotel is in need of an upgrade, cracks, mould in places and the Spa and pool area had the feeling a a public pool but it was nice to have those facilities. Joe public can make use of the pool which I think is a activity families do on a wet day. Location was not ideal either, A bit too far to walk into town compared to other hotels. Look it was okay, a mixed back, I would recommend but I would also be keen to try something different should I return.

Stayed at this hotel when we had a trip to Scotland,Our train was cancelled and i was worried we would miss the reception which closed at 11 o clock at night.I rang the hotel in a panic but was reassured if i was late it would be fine, luckily we got there before 11 and were even able to get a drink even though the bar was about to close.Breakfast the next morning was lovely and there was plenty of choice.bedroom was a good size and had a spectacular view of the lake.Would highly recommend this hotel and its location to the railway station.

Located in the centre of Fort William it was very convenient for walking to our trip on the Jacobite steam train. Decor nice and quirky But - and a big but - the rooms are teeny-tiny. I’m used to staying in ‘metro’ hotels but this a whole new level of small. You can barely walk round the bed - we had a superior king-size room, supposedly. No wardrobe - just a couple of hangers on the wall. If you sit on the loo in the tiny bathroom, the sink is over your knees. Hardly room to turn round for £180 a night. Nice view over a car park being built but it was quiet at the back of the hotel (notwithstanding the noisy guests in adjacent rooms). Decent breakfast and nice staff just about rescued it.
