We stayed in the self catering cottage, just to let you know before booking, you're at the side of the main road with no view of the lake and mountains ( unless you sit outside listening to continued traffic ) due to absence of windows, although on first look it's nice but the smell soon becomes apparent of damp, the door doesn't fit so you have the noise of road traffic and a draught. The mattress on the bed was very firm and stained put me off sleeping in it, although sheets were white and clean. Photo on website looks like it's peaceful and quiet, traffic started to calm after 11pm so we were able to sleep after we turned fridge off as it sounded like a generator Food in restaurant isn't the best, my ceaser salad was left overs I think as all the croutons were soggy from being stored in a container ( my assumption), my husband's pie was a small dish of stew with a puff disc on top with assumption of frozen veg. The pods look nice and all had a balcony view, but I didn't want to pay over £550 for 2 x nights so got the cottage for 450.00, now I know why, so if the view doesnt matter in this beautiful part of the country and you don't mind a bit of smelly damp, traffic and a stained mattress with a generator for a fridge , go for the cottage. Hope this review helps as it would have me in making my mind up to look for something else
