Stayed here for 2 nights in the Junior Suite on the first floor. Check in was quick and easy, received a text message with the key box code around midday. Room was very clean and modern, there was also plenty of space. The view from the french doors was of the hills and ferry crossing over the sea, really nice. There were complimentary muffins, orange juice and yogurts left in the fridge which were really nice. The toiletries (Highland Soap Co) provided in the bathroom are absolutely lovely, we actually took a trip to the shop and bought some to bring back with us. Only small downsides for us were the pillows, they were very soft and flat, although additional pillows are provided, these were the same. The bed was also very creaky, the slightest movement woke me up in the middle of the night. The room also got incredibly warm, you are provided with a Dyson fan but unfortunately didn’t cool the room down as much as we’d hoped. Would highly recommend staying here!

We stayed in one of the older waterfront lodges. The scenery was absolutely stunning and to be able to sit in the hot tub on the balcony was amazing and made our whole experience. The lodge however left a lot to be desired for the ‘luxury’ labelling and price tag. The interior was basic at best and was in dire need of some love and a refresh. What really spoiled our stay however were the rock hard beds and pillows. We really struggled to sleep and have never been as uncomfortable and in pain in the morning. We even tried sleeping on top of the duvet to no avail. Such a shame for such an incredibly beautiful setting. The restaurant food was very good but again the interior could really use some love and upgrade. Staff were helpful and attentive however.

What more can I say about this place that hasn’t been said already? Without a doubt, it is one of the best hotel experiences you can ever have. This was my second visit to Glencoe House and it was just as special as the first – and what a high bar to maintain. We stayed in Suite 1 and the antique décor is beautiful with plush sofas and stylings. You instantly feel relaxed and at home when you enter. Somehow it has an inherent cosy feeling mixed in with the finery. The room has luxuries such as a wine selection, full bar, and an amazing hot tub out the back. There is nothing – and I mean nothing – like sitting in the hot tub on a sunny day, taking in the gorgeous vista of the rugged highlands and Loch Leven. The food is also sublime, and dining is a very unique experience in the hotel. Breakfast and dinner are provided as in-room dining, so the amazing staff bring Michelin star quality food to your own personal dining table in your suite, which also happens to have an amazing view of the bay. Yes, the experience is as good as that sounds. The cooking staff are also so accommodating for gluten and dairy allergies, and were able to make special meal requests for my partner who is intolerant to both. And the bespoke dishes were lovely. If I had to try and name what is so special about Glencoe House compared to other hotels (because you only need to read all the reviews to see that it definitely is special), I think it’s that the experience feels more like a chilled-out luxury retreat than a hotel stay. Everything is brought to you, everything is done for you, everything is available to you in your room, everything is comfort. All you have to do is eat, drink, relax in the hot tub, go for stunning walks in the grounds, and enjoy the tranquillity. Trust me, within minutes of entering your hotel room, you’ll find your inner zen. I’ve never felt so relaxed so quickly in any stay I’ve had anywhere. So, if a chilled-out luxury experience of the highest quality is what you want … this is the place for you. No discussion.

Hotel is in a brilliant location, was close by to Glenfinnan and the viaduct, Glen Nevis and steall falls all of which i wanted to visit. Breakfast was delicious 10/10. The staff were lovely and really helpful and welcoming. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Only complaint was I could hear a bit of noise coming from the halls at night with people walking up and down and the decor was also really dated. But that aside I had a great stay and would recommend.

Located in the centre of Fort William it was very convenient for walking to our trip on the Jacobite steam train. Decor nice and quirky But - and a big but - the rooms are teeny-tiny. I’m used to staying in ‘metro’ hotels but this a whole new level of small. You can barely walk round the bed - we had a superior king-size room, supposedly. No wardrobe - just a couple of hangers on the wall. If you sit on the loo in the tiny bathroom, the sink is over your knees. Hardly room to turn round for £180 a night. Nice view over a car park being built but it was quiet at the back of the hotel (notwithstanding the noisy guests in adjacent rooms). Decent breakfast and nice staff just about rescued it.

Great location, very clean and quiet. Also, comfortable beds and good sized bathrooms. We stayed two nights. Quaint downtown Fort William is a 5 minute walk. If you are lucky enough to get tickets for the Jacobite Train then definitely stay here as the train station is also nearby (but you don't hear the train noise in the rooms). No breakfast or food served on premises but it isn't needed as there are so many restaurants close by. Also, free parking. I left my wedding ring in the room and they mailed it back to me in the U.S. and did not charge me--very nice and honest staff!

Carmen and Phill are wonderful and most accommodating hosts! Their property is clean, well maintained and surrounded by beautiful views. Only a few steps from shopping, restaurants and the train station. Breakfast was delicious and staff was spot on. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge in comparison to other places we stayed on our two week visit. Will definitely be booking with them again on my next visit!

When I got to the hotel, I was asked to pay a little bit more than what was advised by trip.com, but every penny was worth it!
Location is great, staff are very friendly and welcoming, the room was absolutely fantastic, and the full Scottish breakfast was generous and tasty. The only disappointment was I couldn't get a bath because the bathtub obturating plug didn't work properly. However, the overall experience was good. Thank you!

Prices start at £4 or £5 per night... This is an old castle hotel on the west side of the Scottish Highlands. From a common area point of view everything is well done and impeccable. But from the point of view of the rooms...the price/performance ratio is obviously super low. The facilities are outdated, so I asked for a humidifier... A hair dryer that was produced 20 years ago came, which was completely unacceptable and had no humidifying effect at all. The shower room has very strict requirements on the size of the guests, and I personally feel that the water pressure can be further improved and improved. The laudable point is that the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap in the bathroom...all have two ball royal certifications, and the quality is also carried. The cold and hot water device of the washbasin is a traditional separate type, which is the kind of water that you either use cold water or hot water, and it cannot be warm water anyway. The sofa in the guest room is made of fabric. The disadvantage is that you can't see whether it has lice or whether it is clean. Anyway, it is so old that people don't want to sit on it at all. The carpet is lint-free, which means it's ”aged”. Well, let's talk about the public area: the restaurant's production is still quite standard, with Michelin standards, whether it's dinner or breakfast... It's pretty good, but the quality of the coffee is not good. The service staff are warm, courteous, serious and smiling. There are several casual living rooms and even dining rooms in the indoor public area, all of which are luxurious, comfortable, freehand, and comfortable, and there is nothing to fault. There are a large number of areas in the outdoor woods and paths that need to be improved, such as greening projects. One last thing to add: parking is free. After all, the owner, Mr. Chai, is a Chinese from Southeast Asia. The land of the ancient castle covers an area of 5,000 acres... If parking charges are required... it would be too stingy. In general...you can say that it is an ancient European style, but I personally think that the ancient European style does not necessarily need to update or refresh the facilities and furniture. Especially with such a large area, if the greening is not done well... it really responds to the old saying ”gold and jade are outside, and there is nothing in it”.

We booked a family room for 2 nights. Room wasn't ready when we checked in at 3pm. Room did not look like any of the website photos as it seems there are no photos of the family rooms on the website. The room was very basic - only 2 coat hangers for 6 beds. Double bed against wall is not a comfortable option as you have to climb over partner to get in and out of bed. No chairs or anywhere to sit. TV doesn't have signal and there's nowhere to sit and watch it from anyway. Very slow wi-fi, so almost impossible to cast to TV. The emergency exit light on the ceiling was taped up. The kettle is not big enough for more than 2 people at a time, and it doesn't fit into the tiny sink to fill. View of car park - not the mountain or forest view as advertised. All in all the room was adequate for our stay but hugely over priced for what it was. The Nevis Range Bar was disappointing too, mainly because they weren't serving the full menu but you aren't made aware of that when you book. The toilets in the main facility needed cleaning, no loo roll or soap. It seemed that they had't been attended to the whole weekend we were there.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for one night as part of our Scottish road trip for my wife's birthday and what a great place this is. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly hosts who were so helpful and had loads of great local knowledge. Also great to note all Covid precautions were being followed straight from the off in terms of masks/distancing. We were in the Great Glen suite and what an excellent room this is. Large, modern and very well appointed, it has all the facilities you need as well as personal touches like chocolates by the bedside and a Birthday gift for my wife! Always a really nice touch. The high point of the room is the spacious balcony complete with chairs and table where you can sit out and take in the spectacular views of the mountains. We were lucky to enjoy some mild weather so took full advantage of this. Breakfast the next morning was included. This was a continental option including loads of tasty local produce including eggs laid by their own hens and some delicious ham and cheese. Top marks on an excellent breakfast it really set us up well for the day ahead! JJ the host took time to chat to us over breakfast and we were surprised to hear the business is ten years old (I think?) as everything looks absolutely brand new and like it just opened yesterday. Put all of this together with the bargain price we enjoyed for a mid-week stay and I really can't recommend this place enough. If you're thinking of staying get it booked now, and thanks again to the hosts for providing such a great experience for my Wife's birthday trip!
GGuest UserAn absolute nightmare. We stayed in Fort William at Westcourt B&B for four nights. On day one we had the honeymoon suite, with jacuzzi. We wanted to enjoy the bath, but while we were in there, Charles knocked on our door several times (even though you can clearly hear that the jacuzzi is in use from the corridor, as we'd been told not to use it after 22pm). Eventually it turned out he wanted to introduce himself and try to sell us the room for more nights (because we had a cheaper room for the following days). Guest privacy was definitely not a thing. Since we had been hiking and camping for a week beforehand, in the rain, all our stuff was wet. When we asked if they had laundry facilities they referred us to laundromats for which we'd have to take a taxi to reach. We just wanted to dry things, so we spread our stuff over the room. When we came back in the evening, Charles met us in the hallway, as if he was waiting for us (which he did several times in a way which at least I found very creepy), to tell us that this was ”unacceptable” and we ”should be thrown out”. When we discussed a bit and said that we did not cause any damage to the room whatsoever, the stuff is just wet, not dirty, nor did we bother any other guests in the slightest, he went to make a completely inappropriate remark about our lifestyles saying ”I don't understand how you can live like this”, and that they couldn't perform any room service like this (although they had taken down all the things that were drying). When we tried to say that we don't need our room cleaned while we stay there, they said that it wasn't an option, it's included in the service, so asking for privacy is again not ok. The next day, when there had been room service, returned to our room to find our personal stuff that we like to keep on the nightstand, was moved into cupboards in the bathroom, so we had to look through the whole place to find them. If this all doesn't sound bad enough yet, we had a bit of drama also regarding payment, where Charles got agitated saying that there's no point to a bank card if you can't use it. This is because he already had my husband's card details (through ***********) and tried to just take money for the extra night in the honeymoon suite (this night was agreed on later, so not through ***********). Luckily my husband's bank has a safety mechanism which requires him to give the pincode if there's a new payment, but Charles could not offer a method for us to use the pincode, nor could he send a safe payment link. Eventually cash (without receipt) was the only option, because he also wasn't able to give his own IBAN number. So all in all, we felt extremely uncomfortable during our stay at Westcourt, and spent as little time in the B&B as possible, trying to avoid the hosts every time we went in and out. The breakfast was also not worth it at all, and not fresh (the same things lay there day after day), and also served only between 7:30 and 8:45, which can be extreme
GGuest UserThe hotel is opposite the station.theres a underpass leading to a park by the hotel free parking at the hotel. Disabled access and facilities in the hotel. Management and staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had a excellent 1st floor room with shower. Nice bar and lounge. Despite the amount off people the meals were excellent served by really helpful staff different menu each night each as good as the day before. Breakfast was as good both hot and cold choices. Thanks to all and well done
GGuest UserWe stayed at the Factors Inn for 5 nights, we used it as a base for travelling, from there we visited Oban, Malaig and Skye, overall we were quite happy with our stay, we had a superior room with a lovely big comfortable bed, tea coffee making facilities a sofa, coffee table and not a bad sized TV it was dog friendly this is great for us and our dog, you can catch a bus just outside on the main road into Fort William or use the local A&A reliable taxi service that we used a couple of times, the only negatives I can think of are the the Bathroom was quite dated, but having said that it didn’t affect our stay, and at check in we were asked if we would like to book breakfast at the Castle but they do NOT allow dogs in the Castle so we declined, had a delicious breakfast and evening meals just within 10/15 min walk along the cycle/walk path just across the road from Factors to the Golf club/Caddy Shack restaurant & Bar thats ran by a lovely couple that can’t do enough for you. Overall our stay was a nice one and we would go back and stay there.
谢谢Beautiful environment, great scenery, excellent value for money, good staff service, well-equipped rooms, great location, pets can stay, next time you will choose to stay.
LLIPINGThe hotel is in a good location, with a lake on one side and a commercial street on the other. Parking is convenient. If the hotel parking lot is full, you can park the public parking lot 50 meters away and stay free before 8:00. The house is older, the room is small, and the facilities are old. The staff is very welcoming and the attitude is very good.
AAnonymous UserI was worried when I read the reviews at first, but other places are either far away or super expensive. When I arrived, I found that it was okay, it was an old-fashioned European hotel, the room was unexpectedly large, and the sanitation was also good. The sound insulation is poor. There is actually a swimming pool, and the mushrooms for breakfast are very delicious. The child said he was very satisfied.
