Elegant boutique hotel newly renovated. Comfortable beds. Some of the rooms with private pools. The hotel has a super nice and helpful staff, excellent service, and good breakfast. Good position in the village, a calm street yet close to the main street, restaurants, and shopping. We will return.

This property that originated in 1888 is truly a remarkable piece and worthy of its 5* grading - For those who prefer a more trendier setup, that too is available in another wing adjasent to the original building - The large ooms are all individually decored and accommodating of most preferences - The service is exceptional and manager, Chris, the type of guy who will exhaust all avenues to ensure a perfect experience - The property is very safe and within a walking distance from the town's main center - It is also close to most wine estates and eateries - We found the place to be super neat and welcoming - A must visit for atleast 3 nights when in Franschhoek - Well done Chris for a memorable experience - We will return.

Our family group of ten adults stayed at Chapter House for two nights last month and had a grand time. The hotel is ideally located in Franchhoek just off the main drag and is a short walking distance to myriad restaurants and shops. If you want to enjoy the town on foot this is an ideal hotel. With our group of ten we had five rooms and the fun thing about the hotel being an older building is that in the "old" half of the hotel the rooms are all somewhat different - this is not a cookie cutter type hotel. As others have mentioned the lobby and main fireplace is wonderful and our experience with the staff was fantastic. The breakfast is also wonderful with a wide ranges of warm and cold food options so you can easily find what appeals to your diet. All in all this is a great hotel in the best location in town if you want to explore Franschhoek and all it has to offer.

We have travelled extensively and this boutique hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with great warmth. The hotel is a renovated old building and has kept its charm, and yet has modern touches. The breakfast had lots of variety on the menu and they also served the tastiest freshly cooked almond croissants/Danish pastries you could wish to eat! Another nice touch is the complimentary home baked cake and coffee in the afternoons. The pool is a nice size. I had a wonderful back and neck massage followed by a facial at the spa. We really cannot rate this place highly enough and whilst all the staff were very pleasant, we make a special mention to Max and Kazi who were so friendly and helpful and ensured we were well looked after throughout our stay.

It was very cold and wet and the rooms were extremely cold. my daughter borrowed one of my jackets and it became wet so she hanged it and it got left behind. Nobody phoned me to tell me something was left behind. When we got home and I asked het for my jacket we realised it stayed behind, I phoned, a gentleman went to check and said he found it and they will keep it until I can send a courier to pick it up. A month went by because August was such a hectic month for us because of several reasons that I asked a courier group to pick it up on Friday 6 September 2024. I phoned the hotel and a lady by the name of Abigail said yes it is there and the group can come and pick it up. Needless to say when the group arrived twice the jacket it gone. My daughter left a charger in Oude Werf Hotel in Stellenbosch I we are not 30 minutes gone when someone phoned Us to say the charger was left behind. Big difference, between two Hotels. I will not recommend Chapter House Boutique Hotel to anybody!!!!

Very friendly and very helpful staff. Outstanding accommodations. Historical building with plenty of modern additions to make it feel comfortable. A very cozy vibe, especially with the massive fireplace in the middle of the lobby. Climate controlled rooms, delicious breakfast and charming atmosphere made this a must stay hotel.

Chapter house is perfectly situated in Franschhoek to walk to shops, restaurants and different activities. We were met at the door when we arrived, by Max, who made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The room was superb and the lounge and dining areas were all very well-appointed. We unfortunately were not there for Tea in the afternoon, but the baking cake smelt delicious. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, with a large variety of dishes to choose from. A definite must if you are looking to stay in Franschhoek.

The hotel is very well run and in excellent condition. The staff is wonderful very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the heating did not work properly in the room . I informed the staff and they said that they would move me to another room but since the weather cooperated the room ended up being cool but tolerable. Otherwise a great experience with a particularly amazing breakfast!
