Overall I enjoyed my stay

Most of staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially Monica and evening staff at the Bar:Robert. The hotel management could look at upgrading the standard and refurbishing the rooms. Overall I had a pleasant stay.

The service is generally satisfactory, and it is quite professional in Sierra Leone. . .

The exteriors can be improved. But everything else is perfect: room, staff, services, etc. I choose this hotel for my next trip to Sierra Leone.

Very good, one of the few four-star hotels in Freetown

We stayed for 4 nights in total over a week. This was a really quiet and comfortable base for our trip, with a laid back bar and swimming pool surrounded by palm trees. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was varied with plenty of choice. Fruit, cereals, pastries and cooked rice, plantain, egg and more. Decent coffee and very clean and comfortable rooms. We paid using cash as well as visa debit and MasterCard, no issues there. Radisson seemed to be a bit of a hub for things happening in Freetown, one night there was a large EU delegation party, and on returning to the hotel, we were greeted by a host of Italian sailors dancing enthusiastically with local dancers and drummers. Not something you see every day!

The service and food was topnotch. There was value for money as we ate and the staff even packaged the remaining food and birthday cake for us to take home. The ambience was fit for purpose and those I took along appreciated the experience. From their shared experience two other friends later met me to take them to birthday treat to Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel.

On the website, I reserved one room with two beds. I had two stays. BOTH times they did not have a room with two beds for us. In fact, after my first night of sleeping on a rollaway, I went to the front desk and said I would be returning on March 28th and to please reserve a room with two beds. They did not. Frustrating.

Check out took almost 45 minutes despite no queue. Trying to pay for incidentals in cash and getting change was a nightmare as the hotel literally had to go to a local store to get money. No bag storage area either. They were bemused anyone would even need one. Bring your own towel if you go for swim. Unable to organize a taxi to sea ferry also meant I had a 2km walk in 30 degrees with my bags as ended up most efficient way of doing this such was the chaos at reception desk. On the plus side the bar staff were very nice and the room was clean and pleasant. Food was good too. Gym was also pretty decent. The reception staff like pulling teeth.

My husband and I spent an amazing 10 days at the Radisson Blu! Every member of staff, the breakfast (and dinner at Baw Restaurant), our room, the location and the hotel’s proximity to the beachfront, shopping and dinner and entertainment spots was superlative! We will certainly come back and had a fabulous time! My only area of improvement are the carpets in the hallways. They were old and should be replaced by the tiles in the rooms in time. The Hotel is nice and people are nice also however more effort must be made by the new Manager Mr.Bah to respect Radisson 5 Star international standards.

It’s not perfect but definitely my favourite place to stay in Freetown. Good array of facilities, excellent staff, more like a community than a hotel. They will organise your airport transfer (the awful part of staying in Freetown). The coffee bar is good. The food generally isn’t.

It is one of the best hospitality facilities in Freetown. My friend from Wales was particularly impressed with the state of the arts artworks on display. The staffs are highly professional and helpful. Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel has experienced working team that ensure excellent customer service.

I spey45 days at this wonderful hotel. Location was great and staff were friendly and welcoming. If I had to go back to Freetown, I’d stay there again. The ferry ride was a pain, but the alternative was a very long ride to get to the airport and back.
