I stayed at this hotel with my family to visit Freiburg. The location is perfect to visit the old town and the region, being close to the central train station where all tramway lines converge, and being within walking distance of all points of interest in the old town. Being a member of the Accor Club, I got a free upgrade and free parking. The room was comfortable and quiet, and there was a wide choice at breakfast, with a visible effort to avoid plastic containers. We also got a fruit basket with some chocolates on our first night. That's the first time we got such care at a Novotel hotel. It was a pleasure to stay there and I'll be happy to stay there if I return to Freiburg.

The hotel is ok, there is a problem with the communication in the middle. Fortunately, Trip.com customer service A Chenger and Xiao Wu help to actively contact and solve it. Thank you for this. I will always use Trip.com, thank you!

We stayed at this hotel for one night during our 5 days 4 nights trip to the Alsace areas. This was our first stop. The hotel located in a quiet area but within walking distance to the super market, many restaurants, bakeries, etc. However a car is needed to reach the city center. The room is simple but modern, clean, roomy with nice seating area and A/C. The complimentary breakfast was average but it is a nice bonus though. The staff was friendly and helpful. Because of the reasonable price, the complimentary breakfast and the services, I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Beautiful hotel with everything needed for a short trip. Coffee and tea were available free. Unfortunately, the lady was unfriendly at the weekend and made it difficult for us to check in. We would prefer to cancel the accommodation immediately, which was not possible. All other staff were premature and helpful, and we have still enjoyed the stay.

Very nicely furnished rooms with enough deposit facilities. The sticks had USB-A ports installed. Also two good seating facilities in the room. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Only the huge picture of a woman in the bathroom first unusual, after a short habitual phase then also OK. The bathroom was also large, just as the shower. Very much space for cultural bag and co to deposit. We would definitely come back. Parking with € 19 per night may be a little expensive.

My stay at Central Hotel Freiburg was extremely pleasant, the rooms are clean and all staff are very friendly and helpful, starting from the receptionists at the desk who always welcome you with a big smile, up to the waiters at the restaurant and the generator, who was very kind during my late night check out. Central Hotel Freiburg, you make your guests feel like staying home, and there is noting better you can do.

The hotel is located outside the residential centre but in a area still full of services, so it has not isolated. There is a underground parking very useful for those like us who come in the car. The use of the parking is free. The hotel has a sauna and a number of private rooms for conferences, work meetings, private parties. The room in which I stayed with my family was very large and had a large glass with electric-activated taper (satisfactory for those like me who don't sleep if they don't have the taper completely closed at night). The hotel is quiet and it is very appreciated at night, because it rests well, but there are some improved aspects. Firstly, it would be that the room was perhaps not used for a long time, but there were rabbits walking on the walls (they were quickly removed when I warned the reception). The TV is connected via cable, but it takes only a dozen channels in clear, and it is also a TV that has no connection, so even if there seems to be Netflix and Prime, these are not useable. It is not a big problem, but I am not obvious: the bed (in my room, but I don't know in the others) is set in diagonal. At first glance, it seemed to me as an original idea and it seemed to me like it, then at night my wife and I realized that, although this reaction may seem excessive, the diagonal bed actually disturbed us sleep: We felt disoriented and our bodies were instinctively trying to align themselves with the walls of the room.

The hotel is very close to the old city cathedral and the shopping mall downstairs is very convenient. The front desk clerk was very kind and reminded us that we can buy a two-day parking ticket for 27 Euros, which is more cost-effective than 19 Euros/day. There are Chinese, Western, and Japanese food around.

The Hotel Stadt Freiburg is a lovely, modern property, well-designed and visually appealing. So it's a shame that the quality of the staff seems not to match the quality of the property. At check-in, there was nary a welcome nor smile to be had, and we were given the distinct impression that our presence was an imposition on the very unfriendly person checking us in. ”Curt” would be a polite way to describe the experience, but ”downright rude” would be more accurate. Rooms are clean and well-appointed, but none of us slept well on the extra-hard beds with a duvet that kept sliding off in the night because it's too small to tuck in. Perhaps a blessing in disguise, since the rooms are horribly overheated. This hotel ticks all the boxes for its four-star rating, but not a jot or tittle more than that. The hotel also claims to be pet-friendly, but beware if you bring Fido along. There's a hefty supplement. Your pet is allowed in the lobby restaurant, but if you bring it to breakfast, you are rudely banished like you were carrying the Coronavirus. If this were the only hotel in a 50-mile radius, I think I would choose to sleep in my car.

The hotel is located in a lovely spot in the woods, with walking/trails and birds chirping, outside Freiburg. There is a large terrace to sit on for a drink or a meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful to provide a relaxing experience. I really enjoyed the extensive breakfast buffett. If you are looking to explore the area, it is situated on the way to Alsace so you can go into Freiburg and France quite easily. If you want a hotel right in Freiburg, this isn't it. And the highway is a bit close by so there is some sound, but usually the birds chirping was louder.
