Hotels near Zeppelin University, Friedrichshafen

Temporarily decided to stay in Friedrichshafen for one night. I didn't expect the hotel to be so beautiful, the warm and comfortable country-style hotel, the delicious and rich breakfast buffet, will definitely go in the future.

The hotel has a good appearance, the room is very high, the facilities are complete, especially close to the main train station, 10 minutes walk, there are also large shopping centers and leisure areas nearby, convenient for consumption, in general, it is a relatively high-end modern business hotel.

Stayed here after several years - to avoid taking taxis during the pandemic. The location is fantastic - in the center of everything including the main rail station, the downtown closeby and across the lake. Breakfast variety was fantastic with the pandemic and the rooms are very clean. My only gripe is the internet is from the 90's - very challenging speeds. Overall, the staff are exceptionally kind and helpful and it's a gem of a hotel to explore Bodensee region.

Ordinarily, I might pull my punches in a review in light of the fact that there are real people who work hard and put their time and effort into making hotels what they are. Thanks to reception-tron - the ATM which completed our check-in - I did not meet a single human being on the hotel staff, and therefore feel I can be brutally honest. The hotel building has an unassociated ****** on the ground floor, while the hotel itself occupies the second and third floors. Should you ever forget this detail, the secondhand smoke and cacophony of gamblers will swiftly remind you. If anyone in your party is prone to epileptic fits, I'd recommend avoiding the second floor, as the flickering fluorescent lights would be an easy trigger. We did not have high expectations for the room and amenities - given that this is a budget hotel - but we were still underwhelmed. The white tile of the bathroom walls had several visibile vestigial hairs from previous guests. The black plastic of the bathroom floor, shower and toilet almost fortunately concealed whatever else might be lurking. of course, the Poco furniture was cheap. In this case, it was particularly noticeable given that the proprietor hadn't measured the appropriate space for bed side tables or desks, and that as a consequence, drawers directly abutted walls. While not a significant quality of life issue, it serves to illustrate the attention to detail taken. But let us not bury the lead. At about 0230, we began to hear an angry wrapping or banging on a door out in the hallway. Due to the lack of soundproofing, we weren't sure at first whether it was our own door, luckily it was not. At first, we decided to be patient...perhaps reception-tron had improperly dispensed a key. However, our aspiring percussionist companion's problems ran farther deeper than a mislaid key. The knocking was violent and incessant over the course of about 45 minutes all told. It ultimately turned out to be a sort of cold war domestic dispute between our door knocker and someone inside the room who refused to let them in. We repeatedly attempted to call the reception, but the line was busy. After those 45 minutes or so, we decided to call the Polizei. For what it's worth, that's the first time I've called 112 in about 4 years of living as an ex-pat in Germany, which should speak to the severity of the incident. Thanks to the aforementioned paperthin walls, the person violently banging and yelling almost immediately ceased after I began describing the situation to the Polizei. When they did arrive and came through the front door, the situatino had been resolved. To our knowledge, the front door is supposed to be open until 0100, after which you can use a code provided to unlock it. We found this concerning, due to the fact the public has unfettered access to the hotel prior to 0100--if the Polizei were able to enter freely or had been able to acquire a code we are unsure of. Friendly and professional receptionist staff, perfect location only a short walk front the edge of the lake for ferries, shops, restaurants, bars etc, room was well proportioned and in very good clean condition

Booked their newer room which is located at a separate building just behind the check in building. Room feels more like 30 square meters. Very comfortable bed. Do note that shower area has no door. Potty is located in a separate toilet just next to the main door (see photos). Love their buffet spread too!

Frederick Port is very large and there are many hotel options. We have to go to the Boness Lake because of the previous itinerary. I can't figure out the location and choose it blindly, so it is about 1.7 kilometers away from the lively main street. There is a direct bus. The location of this hotel is not biased, the surrounding is a hotel, it is relatively large, and the service facilities are OK. The breakfast style is very simple, 20 euros is not recommended, it is better to go out and drink coffee. Overall, the room comfort is good, the hotel location varies from person to person, the guests are foreigners.

This hotel is just fantastic. The rooms are clean, updated, comfortable and you can relax/sleep perfectly. The A/C works very well as well. The staff is amazing and price is right. I arrived very late and was treated very well by the gentleman running that shift. Breakfast was perfect. The hotel is located very conveniently and parking is free. Love this place!

Kurzfristig habe ich ein Zimmer in diesem IBIS-Hotel buchen können. Wenn man schon mal in einem anderen Hotel dieser Kette übernachtet hat, wird sich mit den Gegebenheiten ”vertraut” fühlen. Das Zimmer war eher klein und spartanisch eingerichtet, Bettzeug und Matratze waren absolut in Ordnung. Das in Modulbauweise ”integrierte” Badezimmer - besser: Badekabine wie auf einem Kreuzfahrtschiff - muss über eine Stufe nach oben betreten werden. Finde ich nicht gut, weil das v.a. abends oder nachts eine problematische Stolperstelle darstellt. Das zur Straßen- und Bahnlinienseite gelegene Zimmer hatte ein Fenster, das sich vollständig zum Lüften öffnen ließ - heutzutage schon eher selten! Gut! Verdunklung: perfekt! Zusätzlich hatte das Zimmer eine Klimaanlage, weswegen ich nachts das Fenster geschlossen hielt wegen der Bahngeräusche. Das Frühstücksbuffet (Frühstück muss man hinzubuchen) ließ keine Wünsche offen - sehr gut. Die Damen der Rezeption waren stets sehr freundlich. Die Zimmerreinigung hat mich allerdings nur bedingt überzeugt, aber bei der heutigen Personalsituation und angesichts der Größe des Hotels war auch diesbezüglich alles zufriedenstellend in Ordnung. Es ist auf Reisen ja immer hilfreich, ein Desinfektionsspray dabei zu haben! Dass der z. T. nur gekieste Außen-Parkplatz kostenpflichtig ist (7,00 EUR), wusste ich bei Buchung nicht. Es ist auch für ortsfremde Gäste unklar, wie man das Hotel-Parkplatzgelände mit dem Auto anfährt. Wenn man sich der Schranke nähert, geht diese auf, um reinzufahren. Hier wäre ein Schild hilfreich! Zur Ausfahrt holt man sich an der Rezeption eine Münze. Einen garantierten Platz hat man bei Wiederankunft zwar nicht, aber ich hatte bei der Wochenendübernachtung einen Parkplatz ergattert. Direkt nebenan befindet sich der Flughafen zu dem man zu Fuß gehen kann. Ich wusste bis zur Hotelbuchung nicht, dass es in FN einen Regionalflughafen gibt. Chek-Out absolut in Ordnung. In ca. 5-10 Autominuten im Stadtzentrum, per Bahn oder Bus auch möglich, da Haltestellen direkt vorm Hotel Fazit: Für 1-2 Nächte jederzeit wieder!
