Excellent, central location.
Character property.
Comfortable bed.
Very clean linen and towels. Lovely toiletries.
Difficult to navigate if you struggle with stairs.
Be aware of parking restrictions if you park overnight in the large car park on a Friday night.

The George hotel is a traditional style hotel with friendly staff
It has just gone through a renovation on the ground floor which is clean, welcoming and timeless
The room I stayed in was clean and tidy
The bathroom was a little rough around the edges but this will be updated alongside the renovation project (which I was informed of upon arrival)

Interesting, old coaching? inn.
Good breakfast and being asked whether I had allergies.
Missed out on a car park space, because we cjecked in at 18.00 and had to park in a paying public car park 5 minutes walk away. We needed to have been advised to check in early.
The large number of stairs were not a problem for usd this time but would be in the future.
It was extremely irritating to have to complete a survey to access the internet. Thew first question made no sense to us, so we didn't proceed with the survey. That meant that we could not facetime our daughter.

Lovely hotel, great vibe, great location. It was a little noisy because of central town location on a Saturday night but that didn't affect the stay at all. Food was delicious both at dinner and breakfast and the customer service was impeccable

The George has had a refurbishment and it's a positive change. Food was good and room was comfortable.
