Le Vasa Resort

Extremely disappointing for a hotel that makes out it's very high end... The many other 1 star reviews sum it up, and the broken chairs with nails sticking our dangerous to kids but still left out. The staff are so lovely doing their best under a terrible management who can't communicate with gets well at all when there's an issue...there's no nice beach or swimming place like the rest of samoa We stayed in fales a 5th of the price for the rest of our holiday, with amazing food dinner and breakfast included. And incredible serviceable friendliness all which have 5 stars from me..so I'm not a moany customer just honest!

Booked online for the standard room The photos on their website looked reasonable for the price The reality when we saw the room was a let down as it was nothing like the photos This is the original rooms that started off the resort I believe they need to offer these rooms to their staff because it really isn’t rooms I would allow any guests to stay in There are rats that hang around the outside shower and toilet The room itself is old and tattered Decor is aged and just thrown together The mattress had bed bugs and when asked the staff to change the mattress they promised to exterminate the room When we arrived back To the room they had sprayed the room with fly spray Very disappointing. The restraunt are also disappointing as they are not capable of handling orders during a busy seating time under pressure They make it obvious to guest they are struggling to cater for a full restraunt Although welcoming and friendly seems Le Vasa has dropped the ball in their rooms and upkeep 2/10 We checked out because the standard room was very poor and the price to stay at Le Vasa is over inflated Won’t be returning and won’t be recommending to family or friends Regular to never again

I (22yo) stayed at Le Vasa with my mother Jen (in 50s) in June. Over the course of our time here, we stayed in 3 different room types: a standard lagoon water fale, a superior oceanfront bungalow, and a standard room. All 3 rooms were beautifully decorated, comfortable, and were situated in excellent positions. The highlight of our stay here however was the people. The staff working at Le Vasa are some of the most welcoming, funny, patient and kind people we have met. Nive, Mark, Eme, Peni, Phyllis, Asalele and Orietta (sorry about the spelling!) were all absolutely amazing (as were many more), and we feel very lucky to call many of the staff we met our new friends. I discovered my new favourite meal here, Fai ai “Isaraelu” - a must try if you eat at the restaurant. Mum loved the meat options on the menu too, and the cocktails were devine (thank you Mark and Nive!) The pool is clean, spacious and relaxing. The sunsets were stunning and we both had a lot of fun in the games room playing pool and table football. We can also highly recommend their transfers if you are not driving your own vechile. Peni and another staff member, made us feel very safe and welcome upon our arrival to the airport late at night and settling us in to the resort. Asalele was also very accommodating in driving us to and from the ferry to Savaii. Overall, we cannot recommend Le Vasa enough - the staff went over and above, the property was stunning and the restaurant was brilliant! You will feel safe, welcome and like you are in a slice of paradise!

Le Vasa Resort offers supreme highs, as well as disappointing lows. The natural beauty of the coast, plus the swimming pool and the outdoor restaurant are wonderful. Unfortunately, some of the fales are run down, without any running water and very over priced. The staff are lovely people, Some of them need a bit more training, especially in the restaurant. The sunsets are some of the best in the world. Do not book Fale 16 or 17. They are close to the work site areas and there has been no upkeep of the fales.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights in the VIP room (similar to oceanfront bungalows and became available to us as the resort was fully booked). Clean and well appointed room, friendly hosts and helpful staff. The restaurant food was excellent. Pool and gardens well kept. We really enjoyed our stay.

Le Vasa is a little off the beaten track so therefore quite calm and peaceful. We were collected from the airport which was all part of the package. Our cabin sat over a lagoon so there was constant entertainment by the leaping fish and low tide creatures. The cabin was clean and airy, the bed extremely comfortable and plenty of hot water! The power was a little interesting but this was probably more to do with supply. It didn’t worry us that the lights occasionally dimmed. There was always a cool breeze to be had. There is no wifi in the rooms as it is only available in the bar. You have to pay for this. The pool was lovely! As was the little beach. All very clean and so picturesque. The food was excellent; we had some fabulous local fish. The service was attentive and always friendly. Breakfast was included and I recommend the coconut French toast! The bar is well stocked although if you’re looking for an extensive wine list, you’re not going to find it here. There is plenty to do for families. Snorkeling, canoeing, bike riding etc. The facilities are not state of the art but it is comfortable and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

Relaxed atmosphere

Stayed here for 2 nights prior to departing Samoa. We stayed in a cute room overlooking a lagoon. Comfortable bed, good ammenities, lovely view when tide was in but mud at low tide. The resort has lovely tropical feel with lots of plantings and flowers, excellent restaurant and huge cocktail list. They also provide kayaks and paddle boards for guest use and there is a swimming pool. Nobody was swimming in the sea but I never found out why?? Only downside was barking dogs early hours of the morning and local rooster crowing at 5am
