Hotel Saika Reviews

I went to Enoshima in winter from Yokohama using a coupon from Kanagawa Prefecture's "Prefectural Travel Support Campaign". This is a small hotel located 3-4 minutes walk from Katase-Enoshima Station on the Odakyu Line. The room is more like a Japanese-style twin bedroom with a mattress in a space the size of a tatami mat than a traditional Japanese room. The threshold around the bed is a step higher, so you need to be careful of the step when going to the toilet in the middle of the night. The good thing about the guest room is that the unit bath is quite spacious and comfortable. The bad thing is that wifi is only available around the lobby, not in the room. Also, the space to take off your shoes is small and interferes with the door that opens inwards, so it was inconvenient to go in and out. Although the plan included a dinner coupon, I was able to have a set meal of sashimi, tempura, and boiled fish at Kinokuniya Shokudo near the hotel, as well as an alcoholic drink. If you go to the front desk between 8:30 and 9:00 in the morning, you can get freshly baked bread such as croissants. The coffee machine in the lobby is free, so I took some back to my room and had breakfast. I don't go out to the Enoshima area that often, but if I can stay at this price with the same content as dinner and breakfast, I'm quite satisfied with this hotel.
