Excellent location, 10mins walk to fukuoka station, and yet away from noisy area. Matress quality excellent. Choose basics 4 room, big room, big bathtub. Service i give 3star because i am 1hour early arrived at hotel 2pm, the room is ready but the reception request for additional money to check in, is typhoon day and we couldnt go anywhere.inconsiderate service.

We stayed in Chapter 4 this time, the room is so large and comfortable, staff are nice and helpful.

Spacious but basic room in a minimalist style, equipped with a coffee machine and smart TV, though lacking traditional storage like wardrobes; instead, there are hangers on the wall. The bathroom combines the shower and bathtub in one space, unlike other hotels where they are typically separate. Decent location, 10 minutes walk from Hakata train station. For parking, consider street options outside for better rates compared to the hotel's basement. Limited amenities, but the lobby is beautifully designed. The view from Room 603 is obstructed and unimpressive.

Pros: Stunning lobby, nice decoration! Room very clean. breakfast is ok, got what u’ve paid! Cons: front desk staff (most young female) are very arrogant and hostile to female guest (?) I see a big smile serving a guy on the other counter. No hospitality at all! speak only very limited English, not prepared for foreign guest. No concierge, not helpful even disabled aged guest! Room very stylish and clean but …. No bedside table, ONE chair in a twin bed room, have to share the chair in a 2-guest room?!!!? No usb (may borrow from front desk) only ac adapter, OMG! the config like 20 yrs and no upgrade! One more, need to pay yen300 if u ask front desk calling taxi.

As EXPECTED, Breakfast ok, awesome lobby, very stylish and clean! But more on unexpected Front office staff - limited English. Apple TV suddenly down, just restart our room wifi can fix, but the staff insist using his iPhone 10 trying for more than 30 mins and said use ‘cast’ is ok. OMG! I don’t want to see YT, and I have 3 iPhones (model 15, 13, 12) and 2 iPads, NONE can reconnect. What I can say is…. the best of the Bascis have already shown on the website (room size, amenities brand, lobby), hardware is “got you have paid”. Software is off. Heard the Basics is Ex-Grand Hyatt, meaning the architecture did not change and that’s the only part I appreciate. What did the current hotel management do to improve? Im afraid I can’t see any! PS. Experienced another hotel in this trip, totally different thing.

New building seems renovated. Very clean and convenient near fukuoka hakata station. Staff were nice.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The location is excellent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and can speak fluent English. We did not come across any communication issues. Excellent experience overall!

I like this hotel bcoz of charming lobby, spacious room and friendly staff. Dislike point will be a quite of far walk from HAKATA station to me.

The staffs are friendly, conversing in English is difficult for them however they try to use translating software to bridge the gap. Some find the choices of the breakfast are limited but I personally prefer quality over quantity, and its breakfast offers good quality. It was late and raining one night and I called a cab to Hakata Station, costs about 1000 yen (300 yen for calling the cab) to get there.

The Basics Hotel not far from the Fukuoka station within 10 mins walk, hotel so quiet and nice! The lobby so beautiful! Staffs are so friendly and nice.

The room were a little small and the earliest check in was 3pm. I arrived slightly earlier at 2pm and the hotel wanted to charge extra for checking in one hour earlier! The room was available and had been cleaned and ready. They would rather have the room empty for an hour and have us wait in the lobby than allow us to check in

Cleanliness - clean Location - not that near the hakata station but not too far Service - there is no bell boy so I have to carry everything on my own. At least on the leaving day some of the staff help me carry my loads of belongings and call a taxi for me.

I had a negative experience at a hotel in Fukuoka, Japan, during my trip from May 2nd to May 7th. I booked the hotel for three days and was satisfied with the cleanliness and room arrangements on the first day. However, the hotel staff did not maintain their cleaning standards for the rest of my stay. Firstly, the hotel required me to indicate if I needed room cleaning between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. However, a staff member rang my doorbell at around 11:00 AM. on one of the days, interrupting my rest time. Secondly, the staff only cleaned the trash bin, replaced the tissue paper, and did not tidy the bed sheets or clean the toilet items and blankets. Compared to my experiences at other hotels in different places, I was very dissatisfied with this particular experience.
