Hotel Oriental Express Fukuoka Tenjin Reviews

Great location with plenty of shops and excellent restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is new, and the room size is adequate for a short stay. However, the hotel needs to improve the cleanliness of the towels, as they had a strong odor, prompting me to shower again.

Cleanliness 🫧 3.5/5 - our room was perfectly fine, although the carpet had a few questionable stains and the shower curtain in the bathroom had definitely seen better days.. but overall clean bed and towels- fine for one night stay for us Location 📍 5/5 - Super close to subway and train station in Tenjin area, only a few minutes walk away from lots of restaurants and shops! Service 🤝🏻 5/5 - it was self check in which was easy enough to manage but there were super friendly staff around to help! Amenities 🪥4/5 - Like many hotels in Japan there were a selection of free toiletries at reception, not that much choice- body towels, toothbrush, razor.. - Shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom were pretty nice! Not much surface area in the bathroom but to be expected

The location is great. The suite we chose was spacious enough for three adults with large suitcases. Amenities can be picked up at the front desk. Breakfast was decent, and the staff was incredibly helpful.

Everything was really great! I just wish that the bed sheets were cleaner but the location is the best!

The room is really small like normal typical Japanese hotel rooms. We could fit 3 adults and 2 children with 3 big suitcases in this room but no space left to walk. No amenities in room, had to pick up in the lobby before coming up to the room. Lounge with coffee station is on 3rd floor. Ice maker and coin laundry are there too which is a plus for this hotel. Breakfast is a choice of set Japanese breakfast in another restaurant outside the hotel which I personally think that we rather go for breakfast somewhere else. There are many restaurants and malls around the hotel with better choices of food. The location is wonderful, near subway stations and bus stations.

Very disturbed by such obvious stains when you enter the room. The entire room did not light up when you open the door. The bathroom is elevated so you need to climb up to enter. Water is not provided, you need to pay for it. Coffee machine is available on the third floor though. Decent stay. Would not recommend.

Oriental Express Fukuoka Tenjin location is great for visitors like us want shopping and dining since the area Tenjin gets everything we like. We are recommended this hotel since it is just 6 minutes walk for subway station and cross the street we get everything.

My most disappointing stay! Hotel staff were unhelpful and room was stuffy and warm. I will NEVER Recommend this hotel to anyone!

We are not used to very small room 13sqm. If one person staying in the room, it’s fine. If you have 2 person plus two big luggages, you have no space to move around. You can use the lounge at level 3 to enjoy a cup of free coffee.

Very near to subway station. Value for money. Has lots of good restaurants and malls nearby too.

Great location with clean and comfortable rooms, amenities there are great too with coin laundry and a small lounge. Service is great too and they even have free-flow wine at the first level during daytime!

Near Tenjin station. Quite a number of shopping malls around the area. It took me about 20+ mins to walk to Fukuoka castle ruin. The only inconvenient part is the hotel breakfast place is located outside the hotel and it only offers 4 kinds of rice burgers with miso soup, salad and costa coffee.

Room was clean, though I got some allergic to dust reaction and had to blow my nose quite often at night (not sure if it's the hotel or what). No water is provided, had to buy from nearby convenience store. it is near Tenjin station, walking distance. A lot of happenings at night so location is great (also its near a big station). Might consider to stay again in the future.
