Magnificent ocean view from the room and onsen. Very good service for everything: check-in, induction, restaurant, souvenir shop, check-out, shuttle bus… Definitely would recommend to friends.

I like the small fishing village of Tomonoura very much. It has scenic spots, ancient street scenes, a nostalgic historical atmosphere, and beautiful scenery. Gufutei is close to the coast. It has a beautiful window view and a great location. It has excellent accommodation and two meals. The service is excellent, especially the restaurant waiter Motohiro and the lobby receptionist Sirikwan. They left a deep impression on me. I like the hot spring facilities very much. There are three places where you can soak and you can see the beautiful sea view and islands.

The decoration is very new and high-grade, and the room is fully equipped with humidifier and fresh air. The ocean view is great! The meal was also surprisingly delicious. The only drawback is that the outdoor hot spring on the top floor is a bit small.

I was traveling with my daughter, granddaughter, and 3 women. The room I stayed in was a premium suite, which was spacious and made me feel excited. There was also a lounge, but no one was allowed to drink alcohol, so we had juice and snacks. The food, both dinner and breakfast, was very delicious. The beautiful presentation, which women like, is also a big plus. There were some items for sale at the shop, so I bought the ones I liked as souvenirs. I also really liked Tomonoura, so I would like to stay here again sometime.

The hotel we chose for our first time sightseeing in Tomonoura was Hotel Ofuutei. I thought it was a nice inn with a great view from inside and the food looked delicious. When we actually stayed there, it was a wonderful inn with a spectacular view, delicious food, and wonderful hospitality just as we had imagined. In addition to that, I was grateful that I was able to use the free round-trip shuttle bus from Fukuyama Station. Advance reservations are required to use the shuttle bus. We took the flight departing from Fukuyama Station at 12:00. It takes about 30 minutes from Fukuyama Station to the hotel. We arrived at the hotel around 12:30. We took a walk around Tomonoura until check-in time, and thoroughly enjoyed sightseeing until around 3:00, which was the check-in time. The next day, the bus left in time for check-out, so I was able to enjoy hotel life to the fullest. Since I wasn't driving myself, I didn't have to pay for a rental car, and I was able to fully enjoy the scenery from the car window.

When I searched for a place to stay in Tomonoura, I found only three decent places: Ofu-tei and its sister hotels. Ofu-tei was located on the east coast of Tomonoura. Our room was on a high floor, and the large windows offered a spectacular view of the Seto Inland Sea. Right in front of us were Sensuijima and Hyakkanjima, and we could see the Seto Inland Sea and even further out to islands. Tomonoura has long been a thriving port town known as a "tide-waiting port," and you can clearly see the ocean currents caused by the ebb and flow of the tides. I was very satisfied with this magnificent view and the delicious food, which mainly featured fresh seafood from the Seto Inland Sea. There are two hot springs, one on the third floor and the other on the top floor. I went to the open-air observation bath on the top floor early in the morning, but the wind was strong and the building was making sounds of flapping, which made it difficult to relax. I think you can enjoy the spectacular view when there is no wind.

The room was clean, and the COVID-19 prevention awareness was high, so I felt safe. I never got tired of looking at the sea and islands that spread across the window of the room. Thanks to the delicious meal in the Kairi private room with a view of the fishing port and the hospitality of the staff, I was able to talk with my family who I hadn't seen in a long time. It was a good idea to immediately go into the open-air bath on the rooftop after checking in early, and I was able to enjoy the extraordinary feeling of the Seto Inland Sea breeze by myself. I also liked the hotel deck facing the sea, and I went there many times to relax, feeling the sea breeze and listening to the ripples. After checking out, I stopped by again after walking around the town of Tomonoura and sightseeing, and relaxed until the shuttle bus at 2pm. It was very easy to access, just 30 minutes by shuttle bus from Fukuyama Station on the Shinkansen. It was a place I would like to visit again.

I stayed here on a graduation trip with a friend. We decided to stay at least one nice place during the trip, and the view from the room was great. As for the food, the restaurant faced the Seto Inland Sea, so there was a lot of seafood. If you don't like seafood, you might want to be a little careful. As for the baths, there was a large public bath and an open-air bath, and you could see the ocean from the open-air bath. It was very pleasant to take a bath in the open-air bath while looking at the Seto Inland Sea in the morning.

I wanted to go to Tomonoura, so I stayed at this hotel and Keishokan Sazanamitei for two nights, but the staff's customer service attitude was so bad that I was disgusted! When I checked in, the person who seemed to be the manager on the first floor didn't greet me, and even when I bought souvenirs, the staff didn't say "Welcome, thank you" and just looked down, which was disgusting! With that manager, I really felt that the staff wasn't properly trained. I chose a semi-suite with a view bath overlooking the harbor, and the room was spacious and comfortable, but the bath was not a hot spring, which was disappointing. Dinner was brought to the dining room inside, and they brought me hot food, and they shared the way they grilled meat when they stayed at the sister hotel Keishokan Sazanamitei yesterday, and some of the ingredients were changed to abalone, which was appreciated. However, the breakfast was so poor that I was also disgusted! I travel many times a year, but this is the first time I've ever experienced such a poor and disgusting breakfast! ! I pay a high price for accommodation, but I don't get that kind of breakfast! ! Both guesthouses and business hotels put more thought into their food! The reasonably priced Keishokan Sazanami-tei where I stayed yesterday had grilled fish and a decent breakfast! I wanted to go to Tomonoura so I looked for accommodation in the area, but there were only three options - sister hotels Keishokan Sazanami-tei, Ofutei, and Teitei Onne Konne - and since I had to choose between these three and there was no facility to compete with, I began to suspect that the hotel was being run arrogantly! I hope that a facility that can rival these three will appear soon!
