As we prefer to stay in the city center, the Sao Pedro (just behind the municipal park) turned out perfect, You are in the middle of Funchal and can use your feet or the local buses to get anywhere. Also close to bars and restaurants, the marina promenade and the old town is just a stone's throw away. The Z apartment comes with a nice and spacious terrace. The interior is nothing really fancy, but nice kitchenette and a good double bed. Bathroom ok but lacks pegs for towels etc. The price for a week is really good value for money. And the host - Paolo - is a nice and serviceable host. So - we liked it very much.
