Located in a classic art deco building in downtown Funchal, the Three House Hotel was an ideal combination of comfort, convenience and spacious accommodations. We spent two weeks at the Three House Hotel and had a wonderful stay. The staff and housekeeping team were professional and very friendly. From the rooftop pool area we had a great view of the harbor and the hotel itself was very convenient to old town Funchal where there seemed to be an infinite number of dining options. Overall, an excellent stay in a beautiful city on a fantastic island!

Well what can I say..... I'd read the reviews and picked Three houses based on those and the fact that it's in a great Funchal location and a 'boutique' hotel (offering apartments.) I don't often review but feel compelled to as we are (still here) having an amazing stay. The concept of an apartment hotel is great...there is a super restaurant if you wish, but equally the Three houses team are happy to make recommendations. Things which have exceeded my expectations; Housekeeping team - leave our apartment as new every day...lovely! Great help with things to do from reception team, including if you've hired a car...routes for the island with great tips for things to see provided, Also free parking , Great facilities in the apartment, Teams at hand via WhatsApp, Cute croissants every morning at your door, And the most amazing roof terrace for relaxing!!! Credit where it's due...fabulous!!!

I’m can’t say enough positive things about this small boutique hotel! The staff are absolutely amazing from the cleaning staff, Tania to the bar staff, Diana and Miguel and of course the lovely Margarida and Marcio and everyone who who works at Three House. The rooftop pool, bar and restaurant offer quality fresh food to the funky cocktails! This was my 2nd visit and each year it keeps getting better. They acknowledged my best friends birthday with a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates! It made her evening so special. Can’t wait to return in 2025.❤️🇵🇹

Dit hotel is ècht een aanrader! Super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, ruime appartementen met mooie aankleding en apparatuur en ook de ligging van het hotel is perfect. Als laatste is de rooftop bar met fantastisch zwembad geweldig èn serveren ze heerlijke cocktails.

Wir waren 3 Nächte hier und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Beim Einchecken wurde uns alles sehr umfangreich gezeigt, bei Fragen war immer ein Ansprechpartner da. Die Kleinigkeiten rund um unseren Aufenthalt wie Gebäck morgens, Waschmaschine, Geschirrspültabs etc haben wir besonders geschätzt. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Pool ist toll. Am letzten Abend hatten wir Barbecue, da war der Service etwas schleppend, aber das Essen super. Die Signature Cocktails sind sehr zu empfehlen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Mitten in Funchal eine Oase der Entspannung. Allerdings ist noch zu erwähnen, dass mitten in Funchal auch bedeutet, dass man auf den Zimmern immer eine gewisse Geräuschkulisse der Straße hat. Das ist das einzige, was etwas stört, dafür kann das Hotel allerdings nichts.

Boven op het dak van het Three House Hotel vind je een trendy rooftopbar, vanaf waar je een mooi uitzicht over Funchal en omgeving hebt. Als je in dit hotel verblijft mag je ook gebruik maken van het schitterende zwembad op het dak. Voor niet-hotelgasten is alleen de bar toegankelijk maar ook die is de moeite waard. Een beetje een Zuid-Amerikaans sfeertje door de pastelkleurige meubels op het terras. En voor de verandering eens geen standaard menukaart maar moderne en betaalbare gerechten. Let op, de lift naar de rooftopbar zit helemaal achterin het hotel. Je loopt aan de buitenkant van het pand vanaf de voorgevel helemaal links door de galerij langs het gebouw op. Helemaal aan het einde vind je de lift die je naar boven brengt (met bordjes aangegeven).

Great place to stay. Great response before we arrive. Staff recommended a car rental company that worked out great. They even came to hotel to pick up car. Staff is friendly , knowledgeable and very helpful. There’s a welcome fruit basket. A croissant or sourdough bread is complimentary each more. Beautiful pool and roof top bar. Great location to walk almost anywhere in Funchal. We would stay here again!
