Fuzhou Hangshe Homestay (Shangxiahang Branch in Three Lanes and Seven Alleys) Reviews

The staff is very very friendly! The reason why i love hostel/民宿 is because of the staff like this hotel. The place is very convenient to go around 上下杭 (one of the historical areas in Fu Zhou 福州, not fully developed during June 2024 when i was there). Not that far away from another historical area 三坊七巷 too (bus/car is convenient). Lots of eatery around this hostel and also places to shop. The view outside the hostel is a small river. Quite a nice view in the night.

What a pleasant stay and such a delightful difference from the big hotel chains. A warm welcome by friendly staff to what I imagine a traditional homestead would look like, but with well renovated modern conveniences fused with traditional elements. Excellent location for sightseeing, a step away from the Bund, river tour and a short ride to the Three Lanes Seven Streets area. As a traditional homestead if you're looking for bacon and eggs breakfast not her but the dumplings, fishballs and pastries were great. This is the kind of place I will be looking to stay at in China whenever possible.

Nice resort I never been before

Had a lovely stay in this hotel, good location, the staff is very nice and friendly. Had a complementary ‘Hanfu experience and did some calligraphy which was great! It’s a little far from the real Three Lanes and Seven Alleys. You need to get a taxi there.

Beautiful hotel situated in 上下杭 historic area. About an 8 minute walk to metro (line 1) which is convenient to access other points of interest, and about a 20 minute walk across the river into 烟台山 lively commercial area. I loved waking up in 上下杭 and returning there every evening. The hotel itself is worth a look as it features traditional architecture with modern amenities, the staff is very friendly too! Thank you for making me feel welcome in Fuzhou. :)

Clean rooms, great friendly staff, and really interesting building. My son loved the hand pump in the central skywell - he spent the entire time pumping water.

Wonderful accommodation with the right touch of local characteristics, coupled with some modern fittings to ensure good staying experience. Everything is perfect but be prepared to use some mosquitoes repellant during the night as the place is along a river. Just some natural phenomena to be expected during the summer time.

Excellent location just inside the scenic area. Free breakfast provided give me a chance to taste local specialty.

A good location for exploring the city, an inviting decor and ambiance, and a staff that is consistently attentive, friendly, and exceedingly kind.

Very good stay

The century-old house is very comfortable to live in, with a beautiful environment. There is a scenic spot just outside the door. It is very pleasant to drink tea and chat in the hotel. The boss is very nice and helps recommend places to eat and also helps ask about the itinerary.

The whole family traveled and stayed in a family room. The ancient house is at the entrance of Shangxiahang, which is very convenient for travel. The service was very thoughtful. They greeted us and carried our luggage. The breakfast was also very rich. I will come again next time
