A super hotel with good facilities and a good location. The buffet breakfast is comparable to the standard of lunch and dinner. The hotel’s open-air saltwater swimming pool is clean and buoyant. It faces the sea and makes waves. It’s amazing. The family suite we stayed in, open the skylight, the sun shines in, it is too comfortable.

Beautiful small villa, the food is delicious, the decoration is very simple. I didn't expect to have such a beautiful hotel in a deep village, a bit far from the beach, it is recommended that those who have a car want to try the local pastoral scenery to live. I met many local families to have dinner. The boss was very nice and the overall experience was very good.

We recently stayed 11 days at this hotel and it did not disappoint. All of the members of staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. The decor of the hotel is lovely, full of character and immaculately clean. We had a ground floor suite which was stunning. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes and all the meals that we had were excellent. After visiting other hotels in the area we definitely felt that we had made the right choice. Fantastic for a relaxing holiday for all of the family! The location is great!!! This was the main selection criterion. The beach at the hotel is “non-swimming”, but with a gorgeous view and located two steps away (to the right) a wonderful turtle beach without waves...). Right in the center of Hikkaduwa, everything is nearby...cafes, shops. The staff is friendly, always ready to help with any requests and always with a smile)))

My favorite hotel in Sri Lanka, super sea view room, the view is super beautiful! It's very pleasant to walk on the beach in the morning and evening. The swimming pool is also great. There are many chipmunks on the lawn, and the children are so happy. Half board The breakfast and dinner buffets are also very good, and you can see that they are carefully prepared. The staff are very nice, and the elephants folded with towels are so cute 😍

Kumu is a beautifully appointed guest house, beach front with five star service. Our daughter decided to have her destination wedding at the property, which was amazing. The staff made sure the day was memorable with a dash of Sri Lankan culture, which included traditional Sri Lankan dancers and singers, concluding with a delicious Sri Lankan Feast for all the family. Our Australian family of all ages really enjoyed the property, especially relaxing and swimming in the lovely pool. We had a variety of room types and all were well appointed and luxurious. Breakfast which is included in the tariff was the best we had in Sri Lanka. The massage was awesome and just what we all needed after travelling. Could not fault this property or its staff. The staff organised day trips to amazing Galle Fort which is only a short drive away. We hope to return as it was such a wonderful accommodation. It is awesome for groups and families and also works for couples. Social hour is a fabulous chance to enjoy a GnT with other guests. We enjoyed the company of the other guests that were from all over the world. If you prefer a quiet Social Hour there are plenty of locations on the property that you can enjoy a private drink or two. Walks on the beach are especially romantic as it is very private with hardly any people on it. However, if you are travelling with a group or a large family, and do not wish to rent a villa, this is the perfect location. The staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone has an incredible time.

Shinagawa Beach was a delightful escape for our family. The serene environment, coupled with pristine beaches, provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation. The staff's hospitality was remarkable; they made sure every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We particularly loved the variety of activities available, from lounging by the beach to exploring nearby attractions. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious, offering a mix of local and international cuisine. Overall, it was a memorable family vacation that we would love to repeat.
