I regret having to write this review of a family event we had on Sunday 25th August in a private function room for 40 family members and friends to celebrate the life of a deceased family member. There had been many communications with management but no recent reply to these issues hence this review. The service was extremely slow, the fish overcooked (and inedible), the potatoes burnt and no proper supervision. Vegetables arrived after some people had eaten their main course. When we sought management, they gathered a few extra staff and indeed the Duty Manager got involved but too little too late. The family sat down at 1.30 pm and the main course was finished at 3.45pm. What was most disappointing was the lack of management response. On the day there was no offer to make up for the major inconvenience or the 7 guests who had the inedible fish that was left uneaten. The family were amazed as this lack of attention and professionalism as they had celebrated funerals, family gatherings, and overseas family stayed in the hotel and they estimated they spent €40,000 over the last 10 years and would have considered themselves very loyal guests of this hotel. Under pressure the next day 5 meals were taken off. the bill. Despite several emails not replied to, communication was established with management and a long conversation was had with many promises, investigations to be taken and feedback forthcoming. To date nothing.
