Gorgeous small countryside hotel. It’s next to a parish and in the middle of the countryside so you can take beautiful walks around. Breakfast was homemade and excellent quality of ingredients. The room was beautifully designed and decorated to fit the surrounding atmosphere. Service was super nice!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Uxue on reception was so friendly, helpful and welcoming, really made our 4 day stay wonderful. As previous reviews have mentioned, the hotel is really a B&B with about 8 rooms. This means there’s no one around in the evening and no restaurant (and nothing is open in the pretty village of Garai) so it’s 10 mins drive and then somewhat challenging parking to the large town of Durango which is very a locals town. Parking at the hotel is free but about 100 meters up a zigzag slope to get to the hotel. (You can drive up to the hotel to load your cases). Rooms are very stylish (exposed brick work), bathrooms have opaque glass walls but don’t offer much privacy and for two people with two cases, the rooms are smallish with minimal storage so it was a juggle to find floor space for them. As others have said, there’s also little sound insulation so you won’t be sleeping in. Breakfast was extra (8 euros pp) and was nice but identical each day. I think for a shorter stay (1 or 2 days) then this is a brilliant hotel.

Nos hospedamos allí por la boda de mi hermano y la experiencia fue fabulosa. El hotel es una maravilla, bonito, cuidado , confortable, limpio y en un lugar privilegiado. El personal brutal, nos han tratado con muchísimo cariño y han sido súper atentos en todo momento. Los desayunos espectaculares. Sin duda lo recomiendo

Una casa preciosa, alegre, con detalles muy cuidados. Transmite paz y optimismo. El desayuno riquísimo y el entorno es de lo más bonito del País Vasco. Las chicas son simpáticas y profesionales. Muy, muy recomendable.

Ha sido una estancia excepcional. Nos encantó el entorno, la casita y las vistas. Destacamos la atención de las chicas, eran todas maravillosas y dispuestas a que todo saliera genial. Las vistas de la habitación impresionantes, y la habitación en sí muy acogedora (como toda la casa) con decoración moderna y minimalista. El desayuno increíble, muy bueno, "kuki" y barato. Recomendamos 100% el alojamiento, para nosotros fue un descubrimiento cerquita de casa, así que vovleremos. Gracias chicas!!
