Residence Inn Anaheim Resort Area/Garden Grove

The location is great. Lots of restaurants around the hotel. Staff was friendly. Sadly the room wasn’t the best. The toilets water kept running for hours and the bathroom door wouldn’t shut close. We even saw a roach under the kitchen’s sink on our last night there ! And for some reason, they decided to work on the pool at 6am Sunday!! Waking up the kids.

Stayed here a couple years ago - loved it. This time experience was super bad. Checked in 10pm. Hallways not vaccumed and remained the same until we are about to checkout a bit before noon. Entry door hinges are loose making door loose and preventing door from properly closing. Toilet not safely installed and rocks when you sit on it. Shower in second bedroom was only outputting lukewarm water. Bathroom doors not latching correctly preventing them from locking. Overall not well maintained or cleaned. Breakfast buffet wasn’t any better - lukewarm orange juice and apple juice - runny oatmeal - one of three waffle makers broken. Embarrassed I recommended this place to another family that was traveling with us - hopefully their experience was better.

Arielle — The Essence of Customer Service I want to recognize Arielle at the Residence Inn by Marriott Anaheim Resort Area/Garden Grove, 11931 Harbor Boulevard, Garden Grove, CA 92840, for providing my family with an exceptional experience. Arielle truly embodies the spirit of “Excellence in All We Do.” My family had driven in from Arizona during a rare Southern California heat wave for our annual October Disney trip. By the time we arrived at the hotel, we were tired from the long drive and ready to settle in. During check-in, Arielle asked where we were visiting from, and we shared that we had driven in from Arizona. I’m not sure if she picked up on just how exhausted we were or if she was simply our guardian angel that day, but Arielle surprised us by upgrading our accommodations to a beautiful suite with a separate living area and two bathrooms. For four travelers, the additional space and privacy were incredible. It instantly lifted our spirits and gave us an opportunity to relax, recharge, and truly enjoy the beginning of our vacation. But what impressed us most was Arielle herself. She was warm, engaging, genuine, and incredibly attentive. She connected with our family in a way that went far beyond simply checking guests into a hotel. Without ever having to say it, Arielle conveyed that she genuinely enjoys what she does, cares about the people she serves, and takes pride in representing Marriott and the Residence Inn brand. I don’t know Arielle’s current position within the company, but as a manager myself—and someone who regularly handles customer-service matters—I recognize exceptional service and leadership potential when I see it. Arielle is management material. Employees like her are the people organizations should recognize, develop, and promote because they create the experiences that keep customers coming back. Arielle, thank you for doting over my family, recognizing what we needed without us ever having to ask, and making us feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated. Most importantly, thank you for helping make our annual Disney trip a little more magical. You are an outstanding ambassador for Residence Inn and Marriott. Very old outdated hotel. Stains on bedding. No hot water. Only 1 bathroom had hot water. Dented fridge. For the $$ this is not worth it stay somewhere else. slow elevators. Horrible parking that you have to pay for. Hot tub didn't work. Only good thing about this place was 5 min drive to the Toy Story parking lot for Disneyland. Good breakfast.

The hotel check in was pleasant and easy. Jessica C at the font desk, was very friendly and welcoming. The pool area is nice and the breakfast was excellent. The beds are comfortable and room is spacious. We enjoyed our stay and will return.

Hotel is in a great location if you’re planing to go to Disney. Target, 7leave, and ding bbt walking distance. The free breakfast was pretty good quality, one of the best I’ve seen with hotels. One downside is the room “floors” omg…. The tiles and carpet was really sticky and you could feeel how dirty the carpet is. If you walk barefoot on the carpet the bottom of your foot wokld be black. I know most plp don’t take off their shoes when he in hotels but I’ve never had this problem with other hotels carpets or floors. I hope you guys would just deep clean the floors once a week or something

We stayed at this hotel for 9 nights mid June! We had a two bedroom suite, and we had our three children with us older teenagers. The room was good, one of the bathrooms could use a renovation, the beds were comfortable, and rooms clean. We had to ask for more kitchen items, bigger pots, bigger bowls etc. we have a large family and room only had. Tiny frying pan, and small sauce pot. We cooked most of our meals at night or lunch in our room. The breakfast in the am was good and filling, but more variety would be nice:) ( I understand we were there for a long vacation, but my kids were really wanting bacon lol ) the pool was excellent my kids loved it, and the basketball court. We liked we could walk to several restaurants and target, without having to take our rental car. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. We booked thru getaway today.

We had a great time here . Great location, large rooms , super clean and great breakfast. 5 stars for me .
