I gave this a 3, the room and bed were pretty good. The towels and washclothes, not so much. Yes they were clean, but were almost thread bare - not fluffy and white, but resembling more a light shade of gray. I've dealt with the deposit scam many times in the past, and normally I just let it go. This time something small made me decide to comment on it. The Owner/Manager tells his people that this is for incidentals, such as stolen towels, pillow cases, or smoking occurring in the room. First off - they have may credit card info, if this happened they could charge it. This owner goes a step further, he tells his people that those who complain about the deposit, are likely to steal from the room, or smoke in it. No - those who complain are more fiscally responsible, and realize that the owner is actually using their money to make money. What do I mean? He charges $100 deposit on every room. They tell you it will take 1-6 days before your refund will show on your card. Now I've gotten refunds occasionally from motels, and it usually shows up that day, or the next. As mine, count on it taking the full 6 days. Now think of it this way. Say this Owner consistently rents 80 rooms per night @ $100 deposit per room, say he holds it for 6 days, seems to me there is about $48,000 floating in his bank account making interest. So for money that doesn't belong to him, I would guess he's making out pretty well on the interest on that money.
