What is a hotel's most serious responsibility? Surely, it is the safety of its clientele. Upon our recent stay at this hotel, we were saddened to find that the staff failed in this most basic responsibility. Our stay at the hotel had been smooth and uneventful. I noticed after the cleaners had been in that an unfinished packet of biscuits had gone missing. Obviously, it's no big deal and I didn't think anything of it. However, the next morning I awoke and reached down for my prescription medication that I had left, as I always do, by the side of my bed. I was surprised to find it missing, and after a thorough search around the room and our luggage, it became pretty clear that it had gone the way of the biscuits. My partner went down to reception to inform the staff of the situation. However, all she received was a fairly indifferent response, with staff members immediately going into a defensive mode and explaining that they take nothing but rubbish out of the rooms. The prescription medication was in a paper pharmacy bag that looked a little tattered, so clearly the cleaner saw it and binned it, not bothering to check inside it or look at the writing on the side of the bag that said ”PRESCRIPTION” or the big green crosses printed beside it. I don't entirely blame the cleaner though. Surely, the most serious, important instruction that a hotel can give to its cleaners is ”DO NOT BIN PRESCRIPTION MEDICINES”. This would seem an appropriate measure to prevent the kinds of things that happen when someone doesn't take the medication their doctor has prescribed them, often as a lifeline. ”Things that happen”, such as (and of course this is no exaggeration) severe sickness and even death. But given the reaction of the staff to the situation, it seems clear that the safety of their clients is held as being of no great importance, so it's hardly surprising that the cleaners would do something like this, and would never have been informed to take precautions such as ensuring not to bin someone's medication. Fortunately, we were returning home the next day, and we were able to obtain enough medication from the nearby pharmacy, the pharmacist there giving it to us purely on the basis of kindness. If it hadn't been for her kindness, the situation would have been very distressing and potentially dangerous. Despite the hotel being otherwise perfectly adequate, the safety of clients is undoubtedly the most important thing that a hotel can provide, and overrides everything else. Unfortunately, the fact that the hotel wasn't able to provide this leads me to this score.

Ensure you know what is included before booking. The spa is very expensive (18€ each for one hour) and you have to have flip flops ( 11€ if you have the buy them) plus the spa smelt of eggs - the food at dinner and breakfast was nice but again very expensive for what it was - but the catering staff were very friendly compared to one of the front desk people who felt like she was angry with me for asking questions! There is no tea or coffee in the rooms ( even though online it boasts that you do) the room felt like it needed a facelift - it was clean and could be nice but felt a little tired

We booked this hotel specifically for proximity to the airport. It's close, less than 10 minutes by shuttle. The hotel is deceiving because its a very large building that happens to have a hotel on the 5th floor only. No clue what else uses the building. Check in was easy and seamless. The clerk was also able to schedule our 0500 shuttle the next AM (free shuttle!). We stayed in a family room which is very large and spacious for a family of 4. The room was nice and quiet..only downside was were not really able to get hot water for the shower despite several adjustments to the faucet handle. The hallway getting to the room needs more lighting and perhaps a lighter colored carpet. For airport convenience, this is a good place. For proximity to downtown--this is pretty far.

Nice hotel, near airport with shuttle bus every 20 mins. Nice rooms and bathrooms with normal IHG comfy bed. Ac in room wd good. The restaurant was very nice considering there are none in Uk express hotels. The Wi-Fi worked well so a hotel to use again.

Close to the airport. The hotel has a free shuttle to the airport, which is very convenient. The rooms are relatively new, the decoration is simple and the configuration is relatively simple. The whole is still relatively clean. Breakfast is simple and there are not many choices.

Interesting experience. Location great for bus station and tram so easy access anywhere. Spotlessly clean, friendly reception. Weirdest shaped room I've ever been in! Bed good. Shower good. All a bit tight for space but for what I paid it's great value for a solo traveller. Major drawback is the buzzing fusebox in the room which is only solved by removing the room card which knocks the room power off. Not a problem when sleeping but keep your phone handy to use as a torch if you need to go to the toilet and so need to slot the key card back in place for room lighting. If you get a great rate I'd choose here all day but if not perhaps I'd look elsewhere to see what's on offer. Bars/restaurants and shops in easy walking distance.

The hotel is situated between a motorway on the back and a busy road in front of the hotel. The windows in the rooms have good noise insulation, however, if you will find it difficult to sleep with open windows due to the excess traffic noise, which I had to since the air-conditioning is reportedly only operative during “summer” times, even though the rooms were blistering hot due to sunshine and 25 °C temperature outside. Breakfast starts at 7 o’clock, which is rather late, and a lot of craftsmen and other business travelers were already queuing up before 7 o’clock. The breakfast buffet is good; however, the scrambled egg is served cold in a bowl without heating ☹ I had to extend my stay with two extra days, however, the two complementary bottles of water in the room were not replenished; I was told only two bottles of water were provided regardless of length of stay and that I could just drink tap water, which is O.K. if you like the taste of chlorine ☹ Beware that parking in the hotel’s parking cellar is quite expensive and they don’t advertise the price on the website. The staff were friendly and English their speaking skills satisfactory.

The river view room is stunning. It is wonderful to be able to enjoy from near the beautiful Vizcaya Bridge and the beautiful estuary in which you can see different athletes rowing and also observe some small boats sailing. The room is picturesque with modern and more classic details. What I like the most, as I said, is the balcony with views of the estuary and the comfort of the bed. Good TV, it has a mini bar and coffee maker with two complimentary capsules and downstairs in the hotel hall there is an old elevator in which it has coffee, chocolate and other drinks also free of charge 24 hours a day. Good attention from the employees since they were always friendly and willing, and everything was clean. I will return as soon as I can, I felt very comfortable with everything 😃👍🏽
