Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Gero Shinkan

I stayed here on a family trip during summer vacation. Since my children are still small, it was great to have an indoor pool. I was also satisfied with the buffet-style meals, as I could eat whatever I wanted. However, the only thing I'm not happy about is that if you check in late, dinner will also be late. It's especially difficult if you have children.

The hot springs are thinner than expected, and the food is not very special, just an ordinary buffet

It feels not as good as the Kinosaki chain store I went to four years ago. The clothes are not as good-looking as there. The room is quite big, the view is nice, it is quiet, and the breakfast and dinner are pretty good. Service is also very good

The room had both a bed and tatami mats, so I had a comfortable stay. The public bath was also large and comfortable.

There are free beers, popsicles, and juices in the lobby

It was my first time using it, but I was satisfied with the accommodation. The meal was selectable from the prescribed time, and the maximum was 90 minutes (60 minutes in the morning). Unfortunately it was bad weather (heavy rain) so I couldn't go to Gero Onsen town, but it seems that you can go to Gero station by shuttle bus.

Of the three brands, Oedo Onsen Monogatari, Premium, and TAOYA, I stayed at the Premium Gero Shinkan. There was a welcome drink, ice cream, snacks, and alcohol, and the staff's service was also great, so I gave it one star. It's located on a hill, so the view is very nice. The view from the bath was also nice, but the women's open-air bath didn't have a very good view. Maybe it's because it's hidden from the outside. The quality of the spring water was not as good as the foot bath in the river, but it was smooth, so I gave it one star. What was not good was the food. The live kitchen at dinner was average Takayama ramen and tempura, and the steak was good for a buffet. The rest was a small plate of sashimi, and there was a small amount of it, and there was no tuna in the sushi. The local food, Kei-chan, was much poorer in taste than the other restaurants I had eaten at. The chicken did not taste good. The pickled vegetable steak, also a local food, was delicious. The rolled omelet at breakfast was cold. It's premium, right? That's how it felt. When it's called premium, the price increases, but the variety and taste of the food is normal at Oedo Onsen Monogatari. The food at 0 Kai Resort's premium is better. If they removed the premium and returned the price to normal, I would be happy with the deal. Next time, I'll go to 0kai Resort Hotel Premium.
