Amazing

I stayed here on a family trip during summer vacation. Since my children are still small, it was great to have an indoor pool. I was also satisfied with the buffet-style meals, as I could eat whatever I wanted. However, the only thing I'm not happy about is that if you check in late, dinner will also be late. It's especially difficult if you have children.

It feels not as good as the Kinosaki chain store I went to four years ago. The clothes are not as good-looking as there. The room is quite big, the view is nice, it is quiet, and the breakfast and dinner are pretty good. Service is also very good

The room had both a bed and tatami mats, so I had a comfortable stay. The public bath was also large and comfortable.

The hot springs are thinner than expected, and the food is not very special, just an ordinary buffet

It was my first time using it, but I was satisfied with the accommodation. The meal was selectable from the prescribed time, and the maximum was 90 minutes (60 minutes in the morning). Unfortunately it was bad weather (heavy rain) so I couldn't go to Gero Onsen town, but it seems that you can go to Gero station by shuttle bus.

Of the three brands, Oedo Onsen Monogatari, Premium, and TAOYA, I stayed at the Premium Gero Shinkan. There was a welcome drink, ice cream, snacks, and alcohol, and the staff's service was also great, so I gave it one star. It's located on a hill, so the view is very nice. The view from the bath was also nice, but the women's open-air bath didn't have a very good view. Maybe it's because it's hidden from the outside. The quality of the spring water was not as good as the foot bath in the river, but it was smooth, so I gave it one star. What was not good was the food. The live kitchen at dinner was average Takayama ramen and tempura, and the steak was good for a buffet. The rest was a small plate of sashimi, and there was a small amount of it, and there was no tuna in the sushi. The local food, Kei-chan, was much poorer in taste than the other restaurants I had eaten at. The chicken did not taste good. The pickled vegetable steak, also a local food, was delicious. The rolled omelet at breakfast was cold. It's premium, right? That's how it felt. When it's called premium, the price increases, but the variety and taste of the food is normal at Oedo Onsen Monogatari. The food at 0 Kai Resort's premium is better. If they removed the premium and returned the price to normal, I would be happy with the deal. Next time, I'll go to 0kai Resort Hotel Premium.

I had some business I couldn't miss in Nagoya, so I decided to stay in Gero, and my mother and daughter came from Kyushu to visit Oedo Onsen, which I have been to many times in other prefectures. We stayed for two nights and three days. I knew that it was on a hill far from the hot spring town, but the website said that they would provide a shuttle service, so I made a reservation with that in mind. But this was the worst possible start. First, I was scheduled to arrive at the station around 6pm, but I called in advance and was told that the shuttle service was only available until 5pm, so I would have to come by myself. I arrived at the station, knowing that I had no choice but to take a taxi, and three other inns were waiting for me at the exit, each holding a sign with the name of their inn written on it. I felt a little sad here (lol), but I pulled myself together and checked in by taxi. After arriving, I told them that I wanted to be at the station before 8am the next morning, and when I asked if they could provide a shuttle service, they said, "The shuttle service starts at 9:30am." Well, whatever. It's our situation to leave early. It's their situation to finish the shuttle service early in the evening, even though the morning is late. And the next day. I called a taxi and went out. On the way back, I arrived at the station at 5:30pm. I know very well that I was wrong to have misunderstood that the arrival time was 5:15! I know, but they said something terrible to me. Really. I thought that maybe they could give me a lift because I was arriving in 15 minutes, so I called the hotel. At first they said, "It's 5 o'clock," and when I replied, "I thought so," they said, "Oh, I'll hand it over to the person in charge, so please wait a little," so I was made to wait not just a little, but a really long time. The woman who took over was already harsh from the beginning and didn't feel good, but she said, "Well, if it's only about 15 minutes, I'll give you a special lift," so I thought, well, it's okay if they'll give me a lift. But, right! I realized that the arrival time was not 15 minutes, but 30 minutes. It was already 5:15 at that time. There was someone sitting nearby on the bus so I couldn't call the hotel right away, and I was thinking of calling when that person got off, but they called me right away. "Um! You're arriving at the station in 15 minutes, right!?" she said, suddenly furious. Of course, it was the same woman from before. "Sorry, I misunderstood the time and arrived at the station in 30 minutes," I apologized, and he replied, "Well, I can't give you a ride!" "It'll take another 10 or 15 minutes, right?!" "Where are you now?!" He really spoke like that. He used that kind of language. He was always rude and condescending, even though I could only whisper on the bus. And to top it off, he said, "I have another job to do, too!!" Is that how you should talk?! Who is talking to who? So what is this phone call? It's not work. Is it even okay to hire someone like that? In the service industry. But at that time, I felt sorry first, and I was in a situation where I couldn't talk freely on the bus, so I didn't immediately understand what he was saying, which may seem stupid. I've never been spoken to like that by anyone in the first place. It's scary that there are people who can show this much anger just for something as simple as a ride. The person who came to pick me up was kind, so that was a bit of a relief. It was a terrible incident that makes me want to cry even now when I think about it. On the other hand, I feel sorry for the woman who got so angry over something like this. I think this one phone clerk is wasting the efforts of all the staff, and of course I will never go there again. The fact that they are letting these kinds of staff run wild means that the people who employ them are tolerating them.
