The Brafferton Inn

The Brafferton is a wonderful place to stay. The inn keepers are friendly, the rooms are decorated very nicely and the breakfast is so delicious. It is a great way to start your day. You won’t leave hungry. The little extra touches…coffee and tea, fresh-baked cookies, are always there anytime of the day. It’s relaxing to sit in the parlor and enjoy a snack, especially after a long day of walking the battlefields. Stay at the Brafferton Inn, you won’t be disappointed.

The experience could not have been more pleasant. The owner was wonderful and accommodated our needs. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The B&B is centrally located making it easy to get around the sights. I would definitely love to return!

Very cool building, friendly hosts, clean and comfortable room, raspberry stuffed French toast, walking distance to all of the shops and eateries made this a great place to spend two nights as we toured and learned about Gettysburg for the first time.

What a wonderful place! Very centrally located in the heart of Gettysburg, this Inn has good amenities whilst still retaining the charm of its historic roots. We were accommodated in a first level apartment above one of the shops. This used to be the family home above their business. There was a bedroom, bathroom with a nice big shower and a sitting room with a TV, if you wanted. It was all beautifully appointed with period pieces but also had the benefit of air con. The breakfast was served in the main house and was absolutely delicious with a good choice of freshly cooked options. All the staff were exceptionally helpful & attentive, especially Brian & Amy- Beth. Parking is included but is on a side street about 100 yards away. There are allocated loading/ unloading spaces by the main reception, however.

I can’t say enough about this place. The innkeepers are really hospitable and accommodating. I was greeted with warm chocolate chip cookies and coffee. Our room had a small deck that was perfect for winding down in the evening after a full day of touring. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. Breakfast was amazing. We are looking forward to returning.

Over the many years we've stayed at the Brafferton we have chosen several different rooms/suites we have our go-to favorites, and you can't go wrong with any of the accomodations. This time we picked a room we haven't yet stayed in Dorothy's Hideaway and we couldn't have been more pleased! It's on the second floor rear of the Lane Studio, a quiet room in the back away from street noise. There are rooms above but we didn't hear any noise whatsoever. It was perfect for us as I was looking for a relaxing & peaceful room for our stay and this beautiful room was it. We loved sitting on the outdoor balcony accessed directly from our room, the large balcony is shared with one other room but it has separate designated spaces for each room. We also enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub which we used both nights of our stay. There is a separate shower, and we had plenty of hot water & the water pressure was excellent. The queen bed was very comfortable, there is a closet with lots of room, a comfy chair, tv, and also a convenient room refrigerator. Dorothy's Hideaway is a good size room we had plenty of space to move around. Breakfast as always was absolutely delicious, and with choices of four different entrees each morning. No need for any lunch after a full breakfast at the Brafferton. Many thanks to Brian & AmyBeth for your always warm hospitality we missed seeing Joan this time but hopefully we will on our next visit we'll l be back again soon!

Great place to stay! Very courteous and friendly family. My wife and I spent a weekend there and we loved it. Chocolates and wine were waiting for us at the hotel room. Bed comfortable and loved the jacuzzi :) Breakfast homemade and delicious. will definitely stay again.

Sometimes the stars do align. I made an impromptu trip to visit Gettyburg for the first time recently. I did all the pe-work you'd typically do and found The Brafferton Inn Bed and Breakfast. The Inn looked wonderful and is. AmyBeth and Bryan seemed nice on-line and are even nicer in person. The location isn't close to downtown Gettysburg, it's almost dead center in the middle of town. Location can't be better. I missed breakfast my first morning to meet with a tour guide and only really regretted it when I had breakfast the second morning. Don't skip breakfast - it's the most important meal of the day and REALLY good! I can't wat to retun. It was that good.

This will be our fourth time staying at the Brafferton and second time staying in the Williams Place with our two kids. Lovely place to stay and a delicious, hot breakfast every morning accompanied with a homemade pastry to start the breakfast off. Also very accommodating to dietary restrictions. We will definitely be back! Thank you Brian and Amy for the wonderful weekend!
