Best Hotels near Gili Trawangan Turtle Hatchery, Gili Trawangan

Santorini is located on the opposite side of the Gili T from the port. I walked through the center of the island to get there and it took me about 25-30 minutes. If you have big or roller luggage, I wouldn’t suggest this. I just didn’t feel like trying to reason with the horse drivers (no Grab on the island) cause it was my first time and I didn’t know how much it should cost. PS, horse drivers are a standard 100,000. Anywho, the resort is decent and I received a welcome juice. The room was a bit smaller than I imagine. My biggest disappointment was the pool didn’t work and I booked there for 3 nights. I had to use my friends pool every day which was near the port. Other downfall, is the resort is far from the night life which is closer to port if you plan to be out late. And getting back to the resort, you walk or bike down these very dark roads. I ended up leaving after day 2 because the pool still wasn’t working. Food wise, I only tried the Fried Ribs and it was ok. The people were kind and the service was nice I must say. They compensated me by giving me a free bike rental. My recommendation is if you plan to just stay in one place to relax, Santorini is ok for that if the pool is working cause the beach is just across from the resort. But if you plan to explore the island and possibly do night life, I would stay closer to the port.

Excellent customer service.clean and spacious room.Truly an enjoyable stay! Even the location is nice, about 15 minutes away from the harbour by bicycle which is a good thing because it's much more peaceful as all the loud music is located near the harvour, so staying at this hotel is much more relaxing. There are also other restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. There is a beach right in front of the hotel, but the water level is too shallow so it's not suitable for swimming.But it's not really a problem because if you don't mind walking a bit, about 1-2km north of this hotel, you can find the best beach on this entire island! You can even find turtles there! I would not hesitate recommending this hotel to anyone as I am usually too lazy to write reviews, but when I do, it's either because it's too good or too bad, so you get the idea.

The hotel is on the first line, close to the most party places. Ideal for those who love parties. You will be able to fall asleep after one in the morning. Nice staff. The rooms are old. The bed linen is old. Everything looks bad. Not all rooms have hot water. The hotel is not worth the money. But there are many old and overpriced hotels on Gili.

The staff is fantastic, everyone worked hard to make us forget the time. From the moment we arrived, they took great care of us, with the aim of making our stay unforgettable. A big plus is the bedding, it is incredibly nice, it is rare to find such good quality mattresses. The location a little away from the center is really a plus, it allows you to sleep peacefully, because the center is really very lively, day and night. You will need to allow 20 minutes on foot and 10 minutes by bike, which are provided by the hotel. The restaurant has a breathtaking view of the sea where every evening, you will have the opportunity to admire the sunset over Bali, while enjoying happy hour. The catering is good, we ate every evening at the hotel and were spoiled. Breakfast is à la carte, which avoids wasting food from buffets, plus the staff will do everything to satisfy your desires. Pearl of Trawangan was a luxurious, incredibly clean, and central hotel, whilst still being far enough away from the noise of the local bars (5 minute walk from bars). The pool was lovely with a very well kept pool bar, managed by very helpful and attentive staff who couldn’t have been nicer/more accommodating. There were bikes you could hire from 100,000 rupiah (approx £5) per day to make your way round the island as there are no cars on Gili T. The rooms were spacious with a lot of storage, good AC and a comfortable bed. The bathroom area is effectively outside, however there is a canopy and it is always kept spotless by the staff so was still very comfortable. The restaurant was also second to none. They feed you plenty at breakfast time offering complimentary pastries and fruit, and have plenty of options for your “main” breakfast. Our breakfast was included when booking our stay. We also had a lunch and a dinner here, both of which were superb. Having cycled round the whole island, I think we chose the best accommodation on the island. Some of the others, despite looking nice, had pools right by the main road which didn’t offer much privacy, whereas the pool here was set back, still benefitted from the sun shining on it all day, and offered plenty of sun loungers. They also had their own loungers on a designated part of the beach, which is literally 10 steps from the hotel reception, meaning you can enjoy the best of both worlds. Could not recommend enough. We stayed here mid-June 2023.

Hotel room was clean and comfy, the hotel food was excellent especially the Indian menu as well as Aston burger which was a winner with kids. The service was amazing! Special thanks to Hadi who made our stay pleasant he even took the time to explore the island with my son! The management of the hotel regarding service is the best by far! This resort is great, one of the best resorts we have seen in Gili Trawangan, its staff is charming and its resort is beautiful, very clean and well-kept rooms, the pool and its breakfast are wonderful, we will repeat in the future🙏🏼

First of all, the hotel is less than two kilometers from the pier, you can take a 150k carriage ride, the location is not bad, go out to the beach, (but most hotels in Geely are like this), the spa is very cheap at 50%, the hotel public area is very good , suitable for taking pictures, this is a lot of places. Secondly, the hotel has a lot of places to spit. The hotel is relatively small in size, and there are some emmmmm in the house...the original? There are many bugs in the bathroom, and a frog crawls under my feet when taking a bath. The sofa was very dirty and damp, and we didn't even cover the sheets! It was the feeling of winter... Then we had a magnitude 6.6 earthquake on the first day of the first day, the house was trembling, the door was very old, and it was so horrible. There is no window in the house. Although you can't see the sea in the house, you can hear the huge sound of the waves, and when the waves are big, the house will tremble violently. It feels very weak! The second day of the earthquake shocked almost one night, a few waves, and the signal of the whole island was not good. The wifi of the hotel was particularly bad. There were only one or two grids, often broken, and it felt very desperate in this environment. The experience is not good.

This review is for the restaurant and not the actual hotel. I am only writing this review as I had a very poor experience with one of the staff members here. With that said I also had a lovely experience with another staff member which is why I still am giving four stars. I came to use the loungers at the beach. When I arrived I was greeted by a very friendly staff member who brought me a coconut from another stall as they did not have any. All was good and I decided to order food and approached another staff member for a menu. This staff member was incredibly, incredibly rude. He told me that they weren’t serving food only drinks (I saw others had food). He then asked “if I am stupid and do I not understand English” when I questioned why I couldn’t receive a menu and stormed away. The original friendly staff member then brought me a menu; however, I choose to leave and eat somewhere else as I was so so out off by the rude male staff member. I work in hotels in hospitality and it was shocking to be spoken to this way by a hotel staff member. This individual should not be working in hospitality. I wish I got names so the friendly staff member could be credited while the rude one could be identified by management.

The Wisma Bunda is a minimum place, very close to the center (a walk), it is the couple that manages the structure is super nice and available. The hotel is old but we found the clean room, unlike other places that Bali and Lombok leave a lot to desire. The bathroom with shower is outdoor but private, I was very good, I would return now. Excellent quality/price ratio (16 euro per night for a double) Recommended
