A very friendly and affordable hotel, perfect for tourists taking the Gladstone ferry to the island. The shop owner will drive to the dock the next day. They also helped us store our extra luggage in the store for free for four days and picked it up when we came back from the island.

After a torrid few weeks travelling back and forward from South Qld to help care for a very ill close relative in Gladstone , we arrived there at the Central Apartments late on the Thursday afternoon . Staff could not have been nicer and more welcoming were the folks on reception , which under our family circumstances was very much appreciated . Room was large and well appointed and the large eastern facing balcony was extra special . Fridge was massive , as well as other kitchen gear was good. My wife would have loved a TV in the main bedroom as you battle the small fry for control of the lounge TV when Sesame st , Bluey and other children programmes are on . One extra amount of thanks when the manager lady ( sorry did not catch your name ) and Rayne at the front desk printed out a eulogy for me . Especially with my lack of IT skills when my email never came through to the hotel a few times. Many thanks ladies and gents in a stressful and sensitive time for me and the family .

This was an excellent motel for us. A nice, simple place too stay, an easily-accessible Tesla charger and close to a good choice of eateries. But what made it special was Carol's friendly, accommodating attitude. We had a problem a few days after we stayed there on our way home - Carol just said โSure, I can helpโ and the problem was solved. Thanks, we'll stay again.

Surprised at how well the property was. The Easter holidays unfortunately had the hotel facilities not operating at full capacity but on the whole the cleanliness and service that we received was excellent. Gladstone as a whole was a surprise packet!

I totally recommend staying here then staying anywhere else in Gladstone. From check in, you are welcomed by Nita, who BTW is nothing short then amazing. Quick and easy check in. Has international info readily at hand. She pretty much is your best google while you are here in Gladstone. My room (recently reno) was just spectacular. The sea view was to die for. Watching little to huge ships sail in. At night while the docks are all lit up, is truly beautiful ๐ Mini bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. Clean, fresh and comfortable bed!! Ahhhh now the restaurant downstairs, Dimitriโs... I have no words to even come close to describing their culinary menu. I personally would recommend Mezes for a starter๐ Moreton Bay bugs for the main ๐คฉ Baklava for the dessert โค Divine Fine dining at its best! Compliments to the chef and the ladies FOH โค

The staff at this property are amazing. We had to leave another property due to cleanliness and hygiene reasons and as soon as we spoke to reception they could not do enough for us arranging a room immediately even though it was before 9.30am. The room was exceptionally clean, had a fantastic view of the harbour, and a well stocked reasonably priced mini bar. Book a harbour view room for your stay - early risers will not be disappointed with the sunrises from your room. Bed was comfortable but too soft for our liking, and verandah was quite small so couldn't sit outside which are our only complaints. Lovely restaurant on site, walking distance to pubs, shops, restaurants (the Thai restaurant outside the hotel would have to be one of the best we have had) and banks.

We booked the 2 room apartment. I cannot fault the room at all. Very clean, new and homely and management were lovely The only negative was the wifi even though we were given the password would not work for us we were there for a week and the mosquitos...Lord knows how they were getting in but we got smashed during the night in bed every night. No fly spray in the rooms, that would have been handy. Gladstone itself is not great and out views were pretty much refineries and smelts on the water. But this accommodation was just right really. Handy location near shopping centres etc,. The rooms can be serviced but they charge you extra for that and the car space was quite small.

Great location across the road from railway station and walking distance to Woolworthsโs, restaurants and shops. Staff are friendly and meals are good inside the hotel. The rooms are good but do need updating there was issues with hot water to some rooms while we were there, fly screens all need replacing on the windows. Itโs great they supply breakfast cereals in room and have washing machine & dryer for guests to use. It can get a little loud some nights rooms are right near entrance. Itโs think the grounds need a little more love there was lots of rubbish around in the gardens. Over all itโs cheap budget accommodation nothing fancy.

GGuest UserStayed here for a night whilst visiting for a sporting event. Spacious room with two queen beds adequately sleeping 4. Located within the Yarella sports club, with various dining options was a bonus of not having to travel elsewhere to eat. Beds were comfy, bathroom clean and room was modern and quiet.

From a photographer pensioner's perspective, not being able to afford high-price accommodation, the Aaron Motel in Gladstone, Queensland, made our overnight stay quite affordable. The relative ease with which one, or as many as you wish, can access the Gladstone CBD and waterfront is well worth the inconvenience of the Motel's semi-urban location. The benefit there being this location, unalike the nearby CBD, does not have the volume of noise and traffic as it's visible neighbour. Earlier bedtimes, all the rage with some oldies. If wearing rose tinted glasses, upon removal, notice you may have a, well behaved, tradie's 4wd parked next to your vehicle. Tact is all that's needed to overcome any phobia of tradies. Seriously, try striking up a conversation, maybe about their job, to' break the ice'. So much is learnt through talking. The photographer would do very well by visiting, within reasonable walking distance, the Eastern Shores Precinct after dark. Its coloured water fountain feature is a boon. The rest of the walk around the park's perimeter has many interesting angles and intensities of light. Maybe stop and watch the latest cricket match on a large screen on the grassy reserve. If, unavoidably, you fall asleep on the lawn till dawn, carry on with an early daylight re-shoot. A casual stroll to waterfront proper will realise the same satisfying results as the previous night's shoot. This time it's gulls perched on a mast top, glints of sunrise masking storm clouds, images of a yellow hulled ketch reflected in the smooth, aqua marine, surface of its host body of water. Make sure that you're shooting-away during the morning MLH, ( Magic light Hour), be there well before 8:00 a.m., after which you can expect your stately carriage to turn into a photoshop project. Don't jig around for too long, there's the CBD and all it's got to offer including the coffee. And, of course, the short walk to your unit at the Aaron for a well earned, mid-morning nanny/ poppy nap. Enjoy.

RRoad27898135725Well - where do you start ? We arrived on time - unlike the front desk personnel. After a few phone calls we got someone - โvery busy elsewhereโ. Then came the usual rubbish - offers of wrong room. Finally we got what we ordered. Why do they do this. It starts the whole visit off on the wrong foot. They have two car-parks - completely separate. We weren't told this to start so had trouble finding our allotted spot. While we were told by the โhandymanโ we could park anywhere - the โManagerโ said we โMUSTโ park in the spot he said. Wifi didn't work - the โManagerโ said he didn't know why - someone had messed it up. When we asked for two sets of keys he refused. Finally - after much discussion he told us the other set was lost. As there were 3 of us - 2 sets was important. You can't leave the building/room without the keys - the door auto locks. So if one person goes out - even to the car - the ones remaining can't really leave the room and get back in. Once we got these minor mishaps fixed things started to get better. Unit is spacious and comfortable. Easy fits 4. View was quite good - good TV/Foxtel - good kitchen - quite good layout (bathrooms (2) and bedrooms (2). Very well located in town. Good balcony. Wifi was good when finally going. Top Thai and Indian nearby (also Maccas) - and Newsagency - all easy walking distance. Yacht Club well worth a visit - good food and drink. Relatively easy walking - but good parking if needed. Quite easy walk to marina, information centre and cafes. Easy drive to nearby places - eg Tannum Sands. Yes - we would return but hopefully things will be smoother on check-in.

Great location, the new renovations are excellent, no tacky carpets and all crisp tilesโฆ bathroom great, beds greatโฆ pillows perfect โฆ all the things a bloke wants!!! I wonโt mention the rate givenโฆ I will just say they deserve more for the room but market rate for Queensland is peanuts for this quality! Lots of other units are empty! Great motel, fresh and clean!!

It started off well (sarcasm). Arrived in the evening and they didnโt have my confirmed fully paid booking and told me I had the wrong place. After a conversation and then looking at their system, they found my booking email but there was no room still. Could put me up for the night, but the rest of the week would be sorted in the morning. And, it was sorted. Failed to contact me to advise though. I needed to go to reception. The staff were pleasant and I understand these things happen. My issues were with the room and housekeeping. The room stank. It wasnโt quite a mustiness or a rotten smell, kind of something in between. There was a thick layer of dust on all the wall hanging. The bathroom extraction fan was totally clogged with dust so that it didnโt actually extract anything. There was always little fruit flies buzzing about and the cockroach climbing over the TV wasnโt pleasant. The usual extra hard bed you find in hotels ๐ฆ. No instructions for the oven or dishwasher. Took a little to figure them out. In fact, no room compendium so no information about anything. Frying pan handle was snapped off and just sitting next to the pan. The furniture seemed a bit old and sitting on the sofa made my allergies flare up. As for housekeeping, in addition to never dusting anything, all they did each day was empty the trash, triangle the toilet paper and only half the time, make the bed. I had to ask for fresh towels. The towels I left on the floor for housekeeping to remove each day, stayed there the whole week. They just never took them. I donโt expect housekeeping do to the odd dishes that I had. I find most serviced apartments do, but not here, so I did them myself, but housekeeping never replaced the dishwasher detergent so dishes were done with just water ๐. I put a pizza box next to the bin for housekeeping to remove, but they didnโt. It stayed there all week, and in fact it toppled over and prevented the cupboard for the bin from closing, like full blown half ajar, not just a little crack. I left it like that the whole week wondering if housekeeping would try to see why it wasnโt closing and remove the pizza box, but didnโt happen. I wonโt stay at this place again

The room that started gave was a big bed and two small beds. The refrigerator freezer was broken. With Trip.com's help, it was a lot comfortable to change to a big bed room. Good value for money, clean rooms, but the surrounding is not very convenient.

GGuest UserGreat clean room, great price and pet friendly. I even loved the premises the trees and garden looked very tropical. The manager friendly and was being beyond helpful since staying one night I was towing my Avan Aliner as didn't want to set it up just for one night, the lady made sure I could park outside my room even by asking another occupant if they could move there car to another spot so my car and van could fit in, which he was happy to do. It was pretty quiet too and comfy bed so got a good night's sleep. I definitively recommend and would go back.

GGuest UserWe got there quite late at night and had no troubles getting into our rooms, which were clean and kept. The shower pressure was amazing, not something you find often while travelling, so definitely a huge bonus. The next day we met 2 staff members who were cleaning our rooms, and they stopped and had a conversation with us, and were friendly and talkative the whole time. It's great to see decent customer service is still around, keep up the amazing work !
