It is a treasure-trove of all things Pagan, Peculiar, Witchery and Wonderful on a prodigious scale. Every inch of space is crammed with Fascination. Every room - bedchambers, parlour and dining-salon - is captivating. In sheer contrast to the otherworldly, spellbinding ambiance of The Covenstead, Tony and his Staff are down to earth, warm and welcoming and full of vitality. One of the Pleasures of staying at The Covenstead is being part of The Covenstead Family. Tony and Staff have mastered the art of true hospitality; being friendly and engaging, yet remaining professional and courteous and attending smoothly to all the tasks that ensure a Guest has a wonderful and memorable stay. The breakfasts at Tony's are simply the best I have ever had. The delightful menu of juices, hot drinks, croissants and fruits followed by a perfectly cooked and stylishly presented scrumptious main course is enhanced by the pleasure of all Guests sitting round a long baronial dining-table so they can enjoying socialising. The Covenstead is the sort of place that draws together kindred spirits from across the globe and international travellers are frequent Guests here. It is true that Glastonbury is a place of pilgrimage with Old World and New Age attractions, but it is most often observed by Tony's Guests, that visiting Glastonbury and not staying at The Covenstead would be a somewhat hollow experience. It was a pleasure on this trip, to see Tony, Donna and Beth again and also to meet Emma, the newest recruit who was a joyful, perfect fit with the divinely decadent ethos of The Covenstead.

Birthday treat We had a wonderful stay. It was a birthday surprise for my wife. It wasn't just a night away, The Covenstead is an amazing experience with access to so many parts of the house where you can relax, read,meditate or just soak up the atmosphere. We were made to feel so very welcome and even invited to join an evening of mediumship which was another wonderful experience. The whole house is immaculate. Our room was magnificent and we enjoyed a very good breakfast too.We have already booked our next stay. Highly reccomended!

One of the best ways to visit Glastonbury Impressive rooms and welcoming staff. Even offered to use free passes to visit abbey. Wish I had more time there to savour all the artifacts amoungst the property. Didn't expect to have a view of the tor from the bedroom what a great stay.

Not quite what we expected! This is a gothic type hotel. Our room was very comfortable and nice. Had a slight problem with dust. We had originally booked three nights but only stayed one night as the hotel premises were not what we expected, especially the breakfast dining which I believe is not very appropriate for having breakfast. However our breakfast was brought up and was excellent. The photos of the hotel on this site should show the premises so that people know what to expect.

Not your standard place Terrific location, fascinating history and eclectic decoration - broadsword on the wall perhaps a raven on a skull. A great and enthusiastic host, with a terrific breakfast. Its a unique place - definitely not a travel lodge - but a very reasonable price for an interesting and enjoyable stay

Lovely. I really loved this quirky guest house. They were welcoming, friendly, and so helpful. The property is in a great location for walking around Glastonbury. I wish I had booked a longer stay.
