The most amazing and unforgettable experience! I stayed in their Gardener’s cottage for 4 nights. It was such an amazing experience, felt like jumped into a time portal. The garden looked spectacular, especially in the morning. Waking up with the sound of birds and garden view was a privilege. 5 mins walking distance to the CBD and waterfront, and you will also pass the rose garden and the heritage government house! Thanks for making my trip so special, Corinda will definitely be my continued pied a terra in Tassie. Read less

A very stylish cottage, with a feeling of the last century. The feeling of drinking and warming by the fire is really healing.

There was a problem with the check-in, even though the payment was successful. When I checked in, the hotel said that I had received a cancellation email the day before, and I didn’t know who had the problem. Fortunately, the hotel had the last room left that day, otherwise I might have slept on the street that day. In the end, I wasted one at the front desk. I stayed at Ctrip’s after-sales department after paying for a room for many hours. To be honest, I was a little disappointed that they didn’t handle this major incident very well.

Beautiful scenery, comfortable room environment, good value for money, praise 👍This is the most secluded leisure resort in Hobart, which makes people linger. I hope Ctrip will recommend this good accommodation hotel more!

The garden of this hotel is spectacular. Breakfast is cooked to order. It tastes good and is exquisite in appearance. Although I read the reviews and received rave reviews, I have some opinions. It may be that they have different concerns. The overall feeling of the carriage suite I booked was not good. The platform stated that the room type is 108 square meters. I don’t know what the standard is. The overall internal space is very cramped. The two rooms upstairs are also small, with only one bed. The bathroom, kitchen, laundry room and living room downstairs are very full. There is basically no place to put luggage. The sanitary conditions are average. There is still plastic paper in the washing machine and the seals are not there. It was moldy and the dryer door was full of black hair balls, indicating that the hotel did not clean the washer and dryer after the previous guest left.

We stayed in the carriage house, but the actual stay was a bit disappointing. There was a strange smell in the house, the facilities were a bit old, and the kitchen area was dusty.

The location of the house is very good. You can see the sea when you go out. The surrounding environment is good and it is convenient to go anywhere. This is like a homestay. No one cleans the room after staying for two days. There is only one garbage bag. There is a black ball in the dryer. I saw it mentioned in the comments before, so I threw it away to avoid affecting the mood of the next resident. The service staff was quite enthusiastic and helped with the luggage. But when I called to ask how to connect to the wifi, the other party said that it was in the check-in email, but I looked at it several times and there was no relevant information. I thought about going out to play during the day and coming back to sleep at night, so I didn't worry about it. Overall, it's okay, but I still want to live in a different place next time.

It may only be once in your life that you have the opportunity to live inside an ancient piece of art. It is truly amazing.

Superb accommodation and magnificent gardens. Very friendly host and great staff. Make sure to include the breakfast as it was sensational including the biggest croissant I’ve ever had and delicious fresh orange juice. Great location near botanical gardens.

Such a beautiful and relaxing spot to stay as a base to explore Hobart. We hardly used our car - a bit of a walk uphill to the house, but easy distance into the city and to the waterfront area. Pavilion B had all we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the garden! Thank you!

I spent a couple of days in the Gardener's Cottage at Corinda and found it to be perfectly delightful! The history of the property was lovely and it was rustic and quaint while providing everything I needed, included a kitchen (with a coffee machine) and (hidden) laundry facilities. While the cottage is small (just for 2), the detailing is gorgeous and it felt like coming home at the end of a busy day sightseeing rather than a cookie cutter hotel room! As a separate structure to the main house it was quiet and private with a dedicated parking space behind decorative iron gates. The private courtyard was lovely for a morning coffee and the rose-filled private walk to the front door made it feel really special. I'd definitely stay again. Note: This is not a "5 star" hotel in that if you like super modern, spacious rooms where everything is new it is probably not your thing. The floorboards creak and it is built for a time when people were smaller but if your heart skips a beat when you see a cottage garden, solid timberwork and the soft patination that comes with age and wear you will do a happy dance. Bonus - the main house is available to hang out in and can serve breakfast and there is a fantastic view across Hobart from the upstairs verandah there. It is not as centrally located as some might like as it is out of the "city" in the residential hilltop pocket of Glebe but if you are active it is a perfectly nice 20 min walk to Salamanca.

We had a fantastic stay in the Coach House at The Corinda Collection in Hobart! The place was so quaint – with beautifully maintained grounds that made for a charming and peaceful retreat. The breakfasts were an absolute delight – delicious and beautifully presented – and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The location was also perfect. It’s an amazing vantage point for the NYE fireworks, and everything is within walking distance – just 20 minutes down to town and the wharf in one direction, and to the Botanical Gardens in the other. A quick heads-up for tall travellers: my husband is just over 6ft, and he had to duck under all the doorways. The couches and dining tables were also a bit on the smaller side for him. It’s definitely worth keeping in mind if you’re travelling with a tall companion. Still, this didn’t take away from the overall experience. It’s such a special place to stay – with so much character, warmth, and convenience. Highly recommend – just maybe not for giants!

The house is well renovated with attention to detail. We stayed in the Coach House, which is self-contained accommodation with a kitchen. We didn’t use the kitchen though, except for making tea or coffee. We took breakfast on the veranda in the main house.   The Coach House supposedly sleeps four. We were luckily only 2 people, so we could use the free bedroom for our luggage. Otherwise, it would have been a bit of a squeeze. There were most things in the accommodation to make our stay comfortable. One side faced out to the street. Thus one bedroom was rather noisy. We chose the bedroom facing the house and garden. The bed was rather short and worn out and the lighting was rather impractical in some places. We had to leave lights on for nightly visits to the bathroom. Several taps dripped and were almost impossible to turn off completely. Things here and there needed to be replaced, maintained or the practicality of them revised.   The location was great. We enjoy walking, so the 10 – 15 minute walk into town was no trouble. Yet it could be steep for others..   The house and gardens are a popular venue for weddings etc. Thus it tended to get busy on the weekends with additional guests.

The Corinda Collection is centred on a magnificent colonial mansion, graciously and sympathetically restored and updated where necessary. Surrounded by stunning gardens it occupies a prime position in Hobart, a short stroll to the city centre and the Elizabeth Street restaurant strip. The decor is beautiful and you truly feel transported in time. We stayed in the coach house, a two story structure next to the main entrance. It featured a wood heater, a small but well equipped kitchen , a nice living & dining area and two upstairs bedrooms. Therein lies the limitation— the bathroom is down the quite steep and poorly lit staircase, making nighttime visits for the elderly ( like us) or those with mobility restrictions a bit perilous. The bed in the second bedroom is also short— at 187 cm my feet dangled over the end. Breakfast on the sun filled verandah was nice
