First the good: Staff was friendly and the room was very clean. However, Yellowstone River Inn is a ridiculous misnomer! It's a sterile, ugly building in an ugly dirt parking lot. Zero ambiance, beauty or any amenity of any kind. The wifi is utterly abysmal. I had to sit with my laptop on the floor in the hallway to get a strong enough signal. I should have immediately checked out and requested a refund, slept in my car and saved myself $77. For that, one should at least be able to expect decent wifi! It WAS clean, though the hallways stunk.

Reception was friendly, courteous and quick. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Great value. Close to the highway is convenient and it was quiet. We had a great breakfast at the attached restaurant, which gives a 10% discount to hotel guests.

Our dinner was very quickly made, and very tasty. Busy little place! Our waiter was friendly and polite. He did a great re aren’t many choices in this town but a guest said he has eaten there a few times when in town on business always is good. Nice variety on their menu to choose from.

We stayed here for a Family & school Reunion. This is a older motel, but I wouldn't let that put you off. It is attached to one of the best restaurant and lounges in town. The staff in all areas are friendly and helpful. The shower & tub were clean and had great pressure with plenty of hot water. The bed was comfy, though the pillows were a bit lacking. We would stay here again at the next reunion.

The beds were actually super comfortable. The room smelled like smoke and the entire place had a dog pee smell. They also charged my card two charges and I had to dispute the second charge to get my money back. Absolutely ridiculous!!

We arrived at 2:30am and vacated the room by 10am for checkout. We just needed a place to crash from being tired during our road trip. We asked for 2 queen beds and were originally setup in a room with 1 king bed. We had the front desk correct it and over 30 minutes later we were finally checked in. We thought everything went well until we returned home and 2 weeks later had a $200 charge on our card because they claimed we smoked in the room and they said they found cigarette butts and ashes. This is completely false. We absolutely DID NOT smoke in the room. The entire hotel smelled like old stale cigarettes and dog pee. I asked the owner if I supposedly smoked, then why am I not also being charged $400 for the old dog pee smell. I will absolutely not stay here again. Which is too bad because it was easy, convenient and the beds were really comfy. Very disappointed. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!! THEY WILL STEAL MONEY FROM YOU!!!

Great deal for those travelling with pets! Two doors in every room. One goes directly outside and one goes to the hallway. There it is very popular front and bar attached. Prices are very reasonable. It is in desperate need of some upgrades. However, it smells better clean. Highly recommended and at a great price.

Recently we had dinner in the restaurant bar on our way out West. The food was great, our favorite spot in Glendive. Upon leaving, my wife inadvertently left her winter jacket in the bar. We didn’t notice it was missing until we arrived in Oregon. We called the Yellowstone, they had the jacket, and mailed it to us in Oregon. Really appreciated their service. Will definitely be stopping there again.

I didn’t stay at the hotel but ate at the restaurant. The food tasted good, was reasonably priced, and had generous portions. The staff were professional and personal. The green chili was really great, my favorite part! My compliments to the chef!
