Travelodge Gloucester

The rooms are extremely small with nowhere to store clothes or your belongings. There are no charging points by the bed or sockets to charge your phones. The table area has two sockets one was for a kettle the other for a heater, again no space for phones. We overlooked the pub, where they were playing live music till late hours, we were above the smoking area everybody was Elvis Presley and making a hell of a racket the whole night. I normally wouldn’t mind but with a five hour drive the next day I’ve lost my sense of humour and did not get my early night. The ladies at reception, when I brought this to their attention just advise me to complain online. The toilets in the dining area were out of order the whole time of our stay thus we had to keep returning to the room to use toilets. I will not return to this particular travel lodge !

Start with the good points first. Hotel was clean and tidy Car park discount for customers Staff were friendly and professional Now the bad points. Wi-Fi - £3 for half an hour (really) Portable heater in room because there was no other heating. Toilet was far too close to the wall, toilet roll holder digs in your arm when you sit down. What can I say about breakfast, my advise eat out, don’t bother in the hotel. Sausage was dry Bacon dripping in grease Mushrooms dripping in water Scrambled eggs dry (1 lump or 2) asked if I could have fried or poached and was told we don’t have the facilities to do them(what you don’t have a frying pan or pot in the kitchen(really) Continental side of it was fruit, yogurt and a couple of pastries, some cereals.

Very helpful staff especially Ian on reception, Nothing was too much hassle. Very clean hotel and very central location Good selection of food and drink available with fast friendly service. Good atmosphere amongst the staff also. *****

This hotel was very reasonably priced and in a very good location for easy access to shopping and sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Comfortable and clean room.

This hotel is local to everything you want. Restaurants, bars, shops etc. Upon arrival we were all greeted by friendly staff. Check in was easy. We were told everything we needed to know for our stay. Bonus car park reduction.Room was very clean and looked out towards road. On going to our rooms we met Housekeepers cleaning. They were all polite and friendly. As we came out the room to go to meet up with some of our friends one Housekeeper asked us if everything was ok in room. I believe her name was Karen as someone called that name out and she replied. We will definitely be back next year

Rude, pretentious manager Overcooked, potentially microwaved food that cost as much as the room for one of the cheapest meals. Got half a £1 chicken fillet sliced in two, iwth barely a handful of waffle fries There was more coleslaw than fries. No signal on mobile data, so they force you to spend extrortionate prices on their wifi I was booked a double bed. Got two single beds pushed together, hmm Air con doesnt work, there was a cabl3 hanging from the ceiling clearly chewed by rodents My view out of the window was a homeless settlement in the carpark Literally smelled of feces and urine when i opened it Homeless people and drunks shouting at all hours. Its practically an empty hotel for a reason. People dont mind when they come back here for 45mins and falling asleep after getting absolutely trashed at a rugby game, but for any other reason its completely terrible
