We were there for a night as we were on a longer trick tour. We liked it very well and we had chosen well. The owner and staff are very friendly and very pre-coming, the food and breakfast were proper and rich, the rooms were very nice and stylishly furnished. The room was also very good and everything was clean and maintained. If a tour should be carried back to the direction, I will certainly choose this hotel again as a day destination.

Just had a drink and pre dinner snack. Ordered a small borrel snack of charcuterie with cheese nuts and olives. It was a generous portion between us filling enough to not need much dinner when we arrived home in Lent. Friendly attentive personnel and plenty of them. We sat with our dog on the terrace which overlooks a luscious green field. We felt very welcome.

This hotel takes an hour and a half from the city of Düsseldorf. Take the train to Weeze. Walk through the underground passage on the left hand side and walk 10 meters to the left. There is a bus stop. To the airport, 2 Euros take three stops here. This is a 24-hour self-service hotel with no one on duty. You need to check in on the machine at the entrance of Building 17, search for your name, find your order, and say a word, Trip.com pays, but here the machine also charges you 45 euros. You can find Trip.com to take the record and ask for a refund of online payment. I assigned Building 19, this machine 17, 19 on the right hand side, it is 20, go to 20 and see 19, check out and remember, keep the room card in the mailbox on the 17th or 20th floor. The room is OK, the biggest advantage is that it is close to Weize Airport. I have a plane at 6:40 in the morning. The first bus at the door is 4.55. In fact, it is too late. There is a car at 3:45 not far away. I got up at 3:50 and returned the room and walked to the airport! It took less than 15 minutes to walk, 1.3 kilometers.

We are travelling from the UK and needed to be near Wijchen to visit family so stayed at the Mercury in Nijmegen for a couple of nights. It’s right by the Train Station which is exactly what we needed - simple to get to after the journey from Amsterdam and great to get back and forth to Wijchen. We arrived early but were swiftly checked in and given room right away. This has the feel of a business hotel but that means clean and efficient which is all we needed. The room was small but not tiny - had a decent safe and nice shower. We had breakfast twice and thought it was very good especially the croissants and fresh orange juice. One day was very busy but staff all seemed to pull together and service level was good. We didn’t use other facilities. It’s very close to station but no real train noise to disrupt sleep and also 5 min walk to centre of Nijmegen. Good option for Nijmegen and surrounding area.

The Hotel Van der Valk Nijmegen-Lent is quite simply outstanding! We travelled from Wales, UK, and this is the sixth year that we have stayed at the hotel during the period of the Vierdaagse 4-day Nijmegen Marches (second to third week of July). The hotel offers first class accommodation and service. The restaurant and bar are spacious and comfortable, and offer an excellent service and wide selection of food and drinks throughout the day and evening. Decor throughout is elegant. The hotel is located close to the city and is easily accessible by road and rail. It has a large integral multi-storey car park with free parking, and covered, direct and easy access to the hotel. It lies adjacent to the Nijmegen-Lent railway station, with frequent trains and a four minute journey into the central station and city of Nijmegen. We run out of superlatives in praise of the hotel staff! From Marije the Director and Marijn the Marketing and Communications Manager, to the reception, restaurant, Lola’s Bar and housekeeping staff, who are all just wonderful, courteous, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Communications throughout the booking, main stay and departure process were efficient and well coordinated. In our experience as international travellers of many years, the staff offer a wonderful, warm and personalised touch to your stay and are a credit to the hotel and the wider Van der Valk group. I felt welcome here, also with dog! I have eaten here 2 times super, the portions are RUIM enough. My room was in the new building part and was clean and well-cared! A good bed, easy to operate TV, delicious shower, refrigerator. The only.. no airco. Window could be open far enough🙂 Have experienced the operation as very friendly and helpful.
