This hotel is situated about 5 min drive to the Takachiho gorge . However the walk there is quite dangerous and long as it involves walking along windy roads and we even encountered a snake as we drove up from the boating area to the hotel . Parking is free and plentiful . The reception has Nepalese staff who spoke English which was good . We had booked the tatami futon beds which we had to lay out ourselves. The bed was hard and we had difficulty getting up from the floor . Maybe the next time we will book the twin rooms instead . The reason we booked the tatami futon room was that this hotel booking was only available 6 months ahead with Rakuten and they only sell this sort of rooms . Perhaps the hotel should consider opening up all the room bookings well ahead . No chairs were provided in the room . Wifi was adequate but the aircon control could only set to very cold or off . Dinner we had at Eiraku restaurant which the receptionist kindly made the reservation for us . Wonderful Yakiniku restaurant . Very affordable with excellent marbled beef and pork . Breakfast had a good selection of western and Japanese . It was good . Onsen was adequate but not very big . Overall an adequate stay.

As Takachiho Gorge is comparatively hard to get to we felt much better staying in Takachiho for a night. And it's great to find a modern hotel in Takachiho, the front desk was nice and helpful, note that it is such a small town and dining options are not a lot so I would recommend have dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Hotel has a large parking lot and breakfast is great (a bit wait in the morning during peak time)

Location It may be a little difficult to understand because it is adjacent to the private house, but there is a signboard, and if you go to the car navigation street, you can get there safely. Check in When you stop the car, the staff will help you carry your luggage immediately. When booking online, when you enter the address, etc., you can check all the printed accommodation registration papers and sign them, so the procedure is fast! I received a bag of gobochi. Room large! A relaxed entrance, a seat with a cushion and a table with a wide 々, a well-cleaned toilet, washroom, bathroom. The bed spring was good, and the futon was also able to sleep well in fukafuka. Dinner I enjoyed all the dishes and dishes using seasonal ingredients. Color alcohol 々 was offered a drink aracult buffet for guests who wanted to enjoy. I ordered it to be good if I had more than 3 cups. I might have drunk a little more if I didn't go to Kagura. Breakfast at the same table where I had dinner last night. * * for rice is dark and fresh! I want to have it again. I also saw guests who were offered Western food. Is it a customer for a consecutive night? Others It is a walking distance to Kagura place, but you can pick up and drop off. You can rent a bench coat for cold prevention. This is located in the lobby, so you can borrow it when you go to Kunimigaoka early in the morning to see the cloud sea. (I couldn't see the cloud sea). Staff / service Friendly but professional service. It is an inn that I want to stay again.

I was very satisfied with my last visit and stayed at the request of my wife. When I visited Takachiho about 5 years ago, I couldn't stay at the hotel because the reservation was full, and I succeeded in revenge. The increase in accommodation costs, which was 70,000 yen for two people per night and two days, greatly exceeded the rate of price increase, and it is an impression that the luxury route was clearly spurred. It seems that the generations have changed, the landlady has rejuvenated, and the direction has changed slightly. An annex was being expanded. The room was large, but it was just too simple and lacking in individuality. There is no large communal bath, and there are indoor and outdoor baths in the room. The open-air bath is a circulation type, but it is heated hot spring water. It's a luxury. Personally, I wanted a large communal bath, even if it was small. Last time we had dinner around the hearth, but this time we had a table and chairs in a private room where classics flowed. The food was delicious. However, it lacks the uniqueness of Miyazaki. I ignored all the information about expensive options. The alcohol menu is also a high-class line, and wine seems to be the best choice, but it is three times the price on the market. Breakfast was also a private room, and there were many items, so it was delicious. Two Chagall lithographs were exhibited on the wall of the private room. It was real, but not so expensive. This Chagall choice is subtle for a pure Japanese inn. There were other lithographs by Kaii Higashiyama and Ikuo Hirayama in the ryokan, but I think it is better to have a sense of unity rather than a mix of Japanese and Western styles. Overall, I was a little less satisfied than when I stayed last time, probably because I was too satisfied when I stayed last time. However, I think it is a recommended luxury inn in Takachiho. Personally, I no longer have the absolute feeling that I should definitely do it after staying this time. I'm a little disappointed. If you call yourself a pure Japanese-style inn, I think there was a strategy to stick to pure Japanese-style inns. Like a famous furniture company, I felt it was difficult to change generations. The next time I visited Takachiho, I wanted to try and compare different luxury inns. However, I feel that I will be doing it the next time I visit Takachiho. I look forward to seeing how it has evolved by the time of my next stay.

A long-established inn in the downtown area of Takachiho Town. Bus terminals and Takachiho Shrine from Nobeoka are slopes, but a few minutes walk away. Yamazaki convenience store is also nearby. Although it is a long-established store, you can feel the traces of various renovations. The toilet in the room was small but with a washlet. The difficulty is that there is no elevator. I still want an elevator to go back and forth between the 1 floor and 3 floors. On the other hand, although it was dinner, the dishes centered on local dishes were lined up, and the sukiyaki of Miyazaki beef was delicious.

I stayed here to visit Takachiho gorge, which I wanted to go to for the first time on my first trip with him in the spring of 2016. Reasonable and good location, I was going to make a reservation alone, but it was a very memorable trip with the pleasant response of the staff from the time of reservation to the check-out. I remember the night Kagura and the way to night Kagura, and I used a taxi for the rest of the time, but I am satisfied that everything is smooth in the easy to access location. The breakfast was at the end of the breakfast, but the staff was told to be slow without a disgusting face, and both of them remained in memory. I was going to leave the review immediately after my stay, but it was a little earlier experience, but I thought it would be a reference and posted it. After that, he married him and Miyazaki is still a place for two people to remember, including this one.
Very Good
