The Vemara Beach Hotel (formerly Kaliakra, I think they changed their name) has 4 stars, but in my opinion it deserves 3. Maybe I'll tell you one by one. The advantage of the hotel is undoubtedly its location. It is located right next to the beach and the main promenade, which is important because Golden Sands is located on quite a steep slope and the hotel located further away means a steep uphill climb every time you return to the room. The hotel itself is quite elegant and it was rather clean, apart from a few forgotten places such as the communal bathroom. The room was large, the air conditioning worked as it should. The rooms are rather nice, although someone really liked the dark brown colors, which make the furniture and curtains look a bit gloomy. In the hotel, guests are divided into better and worse. The better ones have the right to free use of the beach (and the sun loungers are quite expensive) and to rooms with a sea view. The worse ones have windows on the other side overlooking the neighboring hotel or some bushes. After arrival, we found out that we were inferior, which our office did not warn us about, but we quickly found out about it, also after the less nice service. According to our office's offer, there was supposed to be a fridge in the room, but there was none. We went to the reception and although the lady working there was quite dissatisfied, we finally got the fridge. So you shouldn't give up, just fight for yourself. In terms of food, we only had breakfast, but based on them I can say that it was so-so. I didn't like it, my wife didn't even like it. It was all very repetitive and quite greasy. However, the bread was good. There was only one vending machine, there was always a queue, but it wasn't worth it because it was filled with the cheapest concentrate. There are a lot of small children in the hotel who, like small children, cry and squeal. If someone has a low tolerance for this, maybe they should try something else. A related topic is animations. Unfortunately, they mean that the same songs are played at full volume every day. There is quite a lot of it because you can hear both your own and those from the neighboring hotel. The worst of it was probably the animations for small children with songs like "Kundel bury", only in German :) This is definitely not a hotel for those who like peace and quiet. I confirm there is a problem with the elevators. For such a large hotel, there are too few of them and they are too small. It ends with people exceeding the permissible load of the elevator, so we can only hope that it will never break. And that's how it was. There was no tragedy, but various things could have been handled better, so three stars seem deserved.
