Spent a few days with wife & 7 year old at Amber Springs. You will either love this hotel or not but one thing is certain your kids will love it. I personally think it is a little dated and could do with a little modernising. While we stayed the hotel was fully booked but as soon as much for kids to do it did not seem overcrowded. All staff friendly and very good with kids. The room was a good size but the bed was a little small especially as I suspect most have a little one joining at points in stay. The shower was good but basic. Three good food options on site and all good if not amazing. I was surprised that only 1 opens for lunch. Breakfast although busy was good. Kids activities are the reason for your stay here and they definitely kept her busy. Again the playground could just do with a little updating. Lots to do like archery, go-karts, soft play, cinema, game area etc The pool again basic when compared to other similar hotel offers. We did their latest experience, Wizard World, which I thought was poor but again my 7year old loved it and that is reason you are here. Situated within walking distance to Gorey, which is handy for lunchtime. We visited Seal Rescue Ireland which is just down the road and very interesting.

Bathroom was not clean and in room facilities very poor for family hotel. Majority of staff quite rude and rushed food orders or the opposite, it took ages to get anything. Despite the above the cinema and pool were good. Disappointed no recycling option for bottles. Booked a suite hoping for a room divide but just large room. Not sure if i woukd stay again with 2 small kids

I was expecting more... This hotel is great for families with small kids as there is plenty of space and facilities for them to use. Everything was just OK, the food, the staff, the facilities. This hotel feels very outdated and grubby and could do with a makeover. Our room was very grubby. The furniture is old and damaged. The bathroom is old and stained. The mattress was stained. The pillows are hard. We had no ironing board and asked for 1, they brought 1 to the room and there was blood stains on it so we never used it. The shower curtain had to be changed also as there was brown stains, chocolate or poop on it. We had dinner in the farmhouse burger restaurant and 1 family member came down with an upset tummy & vomiting that night and next day. I would not return. The price does not reflect the quality, this was not a cheap holiday. To finish on a positive Ava on reception was very helpful and the kids enjoyed mini golf (€3 per person)

This is our second time visiting Amber Springs, returning the second time after a less-than-average first visit. However, this visit was not much better and as such we would not be returning! The rooms in the hotel are good and upon check-in are clean, however when staying for a few nights the following cleaning of the rooms leaves a lot to be desired. The hotel itself is generally grubby throughout particularly the children's soft play area and the 'Oasis' room. Amber Springs bases its business model on being a family hotel, this may have been so 10 years ago but the facilities now are dated. I could go on and on, however for the price that this hotel charges you would be much better off booking a much nicer Wexford hotel and then take day trips with the family. Do not book this hotel thinking of it as a one-stop shop, it is not. We went out every day and merely used it as a base and in reality, there are much more better bases in Wexford than here.

We stayed for 2 nights with or 2 little boys. We had an absolute ball. Our 3 year old doesn't do well in restaurants so we ordered room service a good bit and the food was divine. It was up within 20 minutes each time and hot. Room was huge and had plenty of space for our 2 boys to run around and play (which i was worried about). We can't wait to go back. I booked another trip the day after we came home. So many things to keep kids entertained and truth be told we all love running around the soft play area and the gokarts!

Met with friends for bar food, dinner was excellent, great choice of starters & mains. It was very busy with families and groups attending Féile. Table service from the young staff members was exceptional, well trained, attentive and mannerly.

I can definitely see what all the fuss is about this hotel is absolutely amazing for families it's got all the amenities you could ask for. Food is really tasty plenty of choice and the breakfast is stunning . My boys loved the pool and all facilities upstairs for the kids... and all the staff are really lovely 😍

I cannot rate this hotel high enough. From cleanliness, to an amazing range of activities for children, to delicious food, to helpful happy staff, to comfy beds … this hotel ticks every single box & more! So much so, I have already booked for our family to go back at Christmas! We have 2 boys who have severe egg & nut allergies & the hotel went above & beyond to make sure the boys were catered for. A special mention to Rebecca Sloper in reservations who was so attentive & supportive with our dietary needs. I can’t wait to go back!

We went with our 3 kids last week. Every member of staff was so friendly and went out of the way to talk to the kids and make life easier for us. Loads to do, good food options and more in the area. The kids rated it as the best place they have ever been.
