Goring is charming village and The Miller of Mansfiled as the classic “olde world” decor, along with the nods to George Michael (a famous former local), clearly add some unique character to the place. However, the service could have been a bit more attentive, as forgetting simple details like a teaspoon for tea might leave a less polished impression, especially with three staff on duty. The lack of dedicated parking could be a drawback for some visitors, as it relies on either finding a roadside spot or using a nearby pay-and-display car park. But for those who don’t mind a short walk, the picturesque village setting and the history of the pub may still make it worth a visit. Overall, it seems like a spot with lots of potential charm but where attention to detail could elevate the guest experience a bit more.
