We really liked the stay, the service and the facilities. The hotel ensemble consists of 2 country houses and 1 lake house, which is located directly on the beautiful Badersee. We had a room in the country house with a view of the Zugspitze. The breakfast had a nice selection of various spreads, cheese, eggs, muesli and pastries. A rotating selection would have been nice, but still perfectly adequate. Dinner is served as a buffet by the restaurant "Werdenfels" and we liked it very much. Around the hotel there are many opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, boat tours (in summer), taking the cable car to the Zugspitze and skiing there. With a hotel ticket you can travel to the Eibsee or to the neighboring towns of Garmisch-Partenkirchen for free. There is an internal wellness area with the possibility of massages. I had the quick relaxation massage and was deeply relaxed afterwards! The staff was very attentive and accommodating. We can only recommend the hotel and would come again.

Das Hotel am Badersee ist seit Jahren eine unserer Lieblingsadressen.
Personal, Ambiente, Restaurant, Wellnessbereich und die Umgebung des Hotels sind einfach nur ein Traum.
Für uns der ideale Ort um zu entspannen.
Wir versuchen, seit unserer Hochzeit hier im Hotel (welche damals übrigens auch grandios geplannt und ausgerichtet wurde), jedes Jahr zu unserem Hochzeitstag hierher zu kommen.
Einziger Wermutstropfen: Seit Corona haben die Übernachtungspreise leider deutlich angezogen. Weshalb wir die letzten Jahre nicht mehr so oft hier gebucht haben.

Ein sehr gut gelegenes Kleinod ist das Hotel am Badersee, da es kurz vor dem Königsee, etwas versteckt, mitten in der Garmischer Bergwelt, nahe Grainau (Zugspitzbahnhof) liegt. Das Hotel ist vor wenigen Jahren völlig neu aufgebaut und sehr exklusiv. Das Personal ist nett und sehr zuvorkommend. Besonders schön ist es im Panorama Restaurant auf den Watzmann zu blicken- z. B. beim sehr reichhaltigen Frühstück. Wir hatten ein Wochenangebot gebucht.

Hotel für einen Kurzurlaub gut. Zimmer schön, allerdings Matratze sehr weich. Wellnessbereich klein, aber sonst schön. Ausblick vom Hotel, vor allem vom Restaurant auf den See sehr schön. Essen gut und reichlich.

Our stay at Hotel am Badersee was so cozy, comfortable and memorable. We would highly recommend a stay here if you will be in southern Bavaria and we would return here on a future visit to Germany.
We spent the day at Zugspitze and this hotel was the perfect location to stay after that. We originally planned to spend 1 night only, but liked the hotel and location so much that we spent 2 nights and took the opportunity to take the bus (with the complementary bus passes provided by the hotel) to visit some of the smaller neighboring towns and villages in the area (Garmisch was beautiful).
A highlight of the stay was the delicious food that was served at the dinner and breakfast buffets. There was a large variety of things to pick from and it was in a beautiful setting overlooking the lake, but most important of all, the food was absolutely delicious. We loved the variety after eating most of the traditional German foods for several days in Munich.
We were also pleasantly surprised by the lower $10/night parking fee as compared to parking fees in Munich.
