Casa Florida Hotel & Spa

The service was extremely professional right from the get-go. The general manager was on top of her game and made sure we were comfortable and escorted to our room without any problem. The room was magnificent and accommodating for a family of 5. Every vanities were working and we did not have to ring the desk for any additional services. The team was exceptionally attentive, friendly and professional. They spoke in French, English and Creole which again showed how professional their team were. I did not have the chance to taste the food due to the reception ceremony I was attending. The only issue I had was the location of the table tennis. I would suggest either moving it indoor or moving it to a less windy area of the hotel; the wind made it very difficult to have a good game. Overall, I would rate Casa Florida a 5/5 and will stay there again next time I visit Mauritius. Memorable and a true Mauritian experience.

We went on this island without really diving into it, we returned to it, fell in love with this place that is rich in culture, nature, humanity. We left this January 2025, with Promo Vacances that managed everything for us, from flights to transfers through the hotel and tour operator of tours. We have discovered beautiful landscapes, encounters recorded forever, daily sharing, we are sure we will return there and the day we will return there will be the same place without hesitate. The hotel is ideally located, with a family-friendly and warm side, Valérie and Cyril the bosses and their team are so welcome, a quality restaurant and inequality comfort. We are convinced that this was only a first approach with this island.
LUX* Grand Baie, Mauritius

The hotel is very new, and the facilities are smart. The beach is beautiful. In addition, sea activities, such as glass bottom boats and snorkeling (requires good swimming skills) are free. The breakfast at the beach rough restaurant is delicious, and the dinner is different every night. However, the basic set menu of the AI KISU restaurant that requires a reservation requires additional payment. In addition, although it is a fusion dish, it looks high-end, but it is not delicious! If I come again, I will choose this hotel again…
Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa

We came to this fantastic hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday and we had a amazing time . Its in a beautiful position for walking into town and it has a fantastic beach . The water sports are absolutely fantastic and the staff are amazing. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. For us Two members of the excellent staff particularly stood out . Fazleen who was our very friendly and happy room maid . She was excellent. She arranged the flowers and the elephant/ (made out of towels ) on the bed and placed the cards (which I brought over for my wife ) on the display as well which was a fantastic surprise for us . The other stand out person was Bachus who is part of your fantastic restaurant team. Informative , friendly and always happy to help or answer any questions we had . He made the dinning experience even better . We would highly recommend this hotel if ypu are planning a trip to Mauritius
Ocean V Hotel

Pereybere Beach
The hotel is in need of a makeover, some of the fittings a little outdated. The pool is little more than a plunge pool though the setting is superb. The breakfast is average, so much so that whilst my wife went for breakfast most days I stayed in the room and just had yoghurts. The minibar doesn’t work and nothing is cold in it. There’s no room service menu though they allow outside deliveries for guests. That’s all the bad points. Now for the good points. The rooftop bar is relaxed and atmospheric, the sunsets there are sensational and the cocktails are superb. The service from the staff was incredible. Always helpful and informative and willing to go the extra mile to make you welcome and that makes up for the shortcomings of the actual building itself. Also the location close to Perrybere beach and a short taxi ride to Grand Baie is pretty good too, though it’s a long taxi ride from the airport.
Ocean Villas Hotel
3.5/555 Reviews
You need to manage your expectations when you book a stay at Oceans Villas. You might have watched the YouTube videos showing the hotel. But it's fair to say that these videos show the icing on the cake and not the core ingredients. If you saw two South Africans touring the hotel, be warned that they've shown the best parts and avoided showing the worst parts. It's a 3 star establishment. And that means you're going to have to put up with a property that was built circa 1980s. There were signs of wear and tear everywhere. As you walk through the front door, some parts of the villas needed a bit of filler and a lick of paint. Some of the furniture had seen better days and our shower door leaked every time we took a shower. But the villa was clean. The beds were comfortable and the villa had amenities that you wouldn't expect such as a safe, hair dryer and a microwave too. A bottle of mineral water was also provided on arrival and parking outside the villas was a nice touch. As for the grounds, the gardens are kept well. It's not going to blow you away but again it's 3 star. The swimming pool didn't look as clean as we'd like and we opted not to go for a dip. The cushions on the seats were littered with stains from previous guests spilling drinks and food. The beach was decent. The view out to the bay was spectacular and you certainly won't be disappointed. You can swim but when we stayed, the sea was choppy but that's not the hotel's problem. What's great about Oceans Villa is its position. You're only 5 minutes away in a car from the best public beaches. Namely Trou aux Biches, Mon Choisy, Pereybere and La Gaulette. So you're spoilt for choice. We'd like to praise the service at the hotel. The kitchen staff and serving staff were really accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment was particularly good, and you'll certainly be tapping your toes and most likely dancing. Lastly the food. One word MSG. There's a good selection of food but too much MSG added to the food. Every morning, we woke up to that awful salty taste on our tongues. So as you can gather there's some good parts to Oceans Villas but you're going to have to put up with some bad parts. if you're on a budget and happy to stay in a 3 star establishment where you can experience the beaches in the North, it's a good place to stay. Would we stay there again? I'd most likely opt for a self catering apartment. We felt for the money, we'd get better quality of facilities but then again we'd have to prepare our food.
