Casa Florida Hotel & Spa

Pereybere
The service was extremely professional right from the get-go. The general manager was on top of her game and made sure we were comfortable and escorted to our room without any problem. The room was magnificent and accommodating for a family of 5. Every vanities were working and we did not have to ring the desk for any additional services. The team was exceptionally attentive, friendly and professional. They spoke in French, English and Creole which again showed how professional their team were. I did not have the chance to taste the food due to the reception ceremony I was attending. The only issue I had was the location of the table tennis. I would suggest either moving it indoor or moving it to a less windy area of the hotel; the wind made it very difficult to have a good game. Overall, I would rate Casa Florida a 5/5 and will stay there again next time I visit Mauritius. Memorable and a true Mauritian experience.

The hotel is located in Dawan. According to the locals, it is a lively place at night. Most of the guests are French. There are many bars and restaurants nearby. The highlight is super U, walking in the past 15 no more than 15 minutes, everything inside. The breakfast at the hotel is European and it feels like the Novotel in China. Dinner buffet is okay, and it is quite satisfactory. Highly recommended ”Grill” restaurant near the hotel, very delicious The hotel room is about the same level as the French local hotel. It is not particularly good, the room is not big, and no disposable toiletries are provided.

Pereybere Beach
We stayed at OceanV, Grand Baie for 7 nights and we absolutely LOVED our stay. We took the “all inclusive” package and I can really recommend this option as this really makes the entire holiday more enjoyable, no need to stress about paying for any drinks, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. Inclusive package review: You get a set menu for lunch and dinner which is always decent. My wife is a fussy eater but always managed to find something to eat. For dinner you can also choose options off the main menu which helps when the kitchen is a bit adventurous with the set menu. The drinks that are included are three types of beer, three types of wine, 8/9 cocktails and three mocktails as well as a wide range of cooldrink and hot beverages. This was really sufficient and if you do want to try anything else, you can always just order from the bar. Room and service review: The staff is extremely friendly and always helpful. The room was perfect, amazing view of the sea and an aircon that we had on the entire time and worked perfectly. The staff cleaned the room and bathroom everyday, no complaints, just compliments. Trips/Excursions: We did not use the hotel’s recommended service providers as they were a bit expensive. We went on a catamaran trip, initially using the hotel connection but after they cancelled we were able to find Coral Belle, a very professional catamaran trip company who have three catamaran’s that go to the islands every day, they have a little shop in sunset boulevard - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We took the bus everywhere, Grand Baie for shopping and Port Louis for the day trip - really worth it regarding the price 24 rs from Pereybere to Grand Baie and 44 rs from Pereybere to Port Louis. Recommended to wait for the express bus to Port Louis if you can, the normal bus takes a quite while longer. Finally, the beach is walking distance, 300m, and we were able to walk around to the beach right in front of the hotel for privacy and less crowded. All Round: We would come back and recommend!!!

Breakfast is very good, there is no hair dryer in the family room to borrow every day, the light bulb in the room is often bad, but someone will come to repair soon. The hotel owner is an overseas Chinese. There is also a Chinese speaking hotel in the hotel. It is not very close to the super u. It takes 300 rupees to take a taxi. The scenery behind is still possible.
Seapoint Boutique Hotel

Pointe aux Canonniers
We recently stayed at Seapoint Boutique for 11 nights for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and felt that the staff were so attentive bringing us cold towel, a mango iced tea and pastries for our arrival which was much appreciated after an 11hr flight and approx 2hr transfer. The hotel manager, Kevin, is very friendly and makes a real effort to speak to guests. Kevin also informed us that we had very kindly been upgraded to a superior suite due to it being our honeymoon and the room being available which was lovely suprise and very much appreciated. The attention to detail of the hotel is excellent. The restaurant manager Krishna is great, very chatty and humorous, and made helpful suggestions of what we could do during trips out. All of the hotel staff are friendly and attentive, particularly Rahul, Kirty, Ismael and Kumar are always very conversational and friendly and very observant when it comes to noticing if you need anything such as a drink (or more bread!). As we say all of the staff were great but we didn’t manage to catch each one’s names unfortunately. The trainees are all also very attentive, and we had many conversations with Neraj who was very friendly and helpful. The hotel feels like a tranquil paradise where you can just totally relax and enjoy yourself. The food on offer in both the main restaurant and Le Hublot is really good, particularly the fish platters (we tried the lobster one and the red snapper one, there is a supplement for these but they are well worth it) and the lamb shank, and all were really tasty. The cocktails on offer at the hotel are very reasonably priced and really good, Ishika is particularly good at making the cocktails, she makes a great Mai Tai, Mojito and Negroni. The room was beautifully made up each day and had the added bonus of numerous towel animals including a turtle and an elephant made up by Viyash! The hotel is also only about a 10 minute walk from Mon Choisy beach, which is definitely one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve been too. We would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone and would love to come back to stay again some day.
