Stifford Hall Hotel Thurrock

Lovely hotel. Staff are so friendly, helpful and always smiling. Food here is amazing and great value for money. Hotel is in a fantastic location and again a great price. Room is a good size and beat part the bed is so comfortable. Highly recommend.

The shower was not working could not bath in the morning I informed reception and they were going to send someone and no one came only when i was checking out thats when they came.

Another amazing event with Stifford Hall Hotel. This time we decided to host our Midsummer party here and Joanne was as always so helpful. No matter the questions I asked she had the answers for me, and whatever we needed from the event she was able to make it happen for us too. Amanda and the team were so supportive on the day, offering a helping hand to get everything perfect for when the party started and keeping me informed throughout the night. The venue was everything we needed it to be for the event, with beautiful outdoor space to enjoy the summer weather, and an indoor space to dance and eat. Always beautifully set up too. We had amazing feedback for the BBQ food that everyone had too, with more than enough to go around for the 150 people we had, it really added to that perfect summer party set up. All around it was a wonderful time and everyone had a fun experience. The words 'Tastefully done' were the overarching theme of the feedback. I hope to continue working with Joanne and this beautiful venue for future events.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times now it’s are go to hotel when down visiting family in south ockendon it’s perfectly situated to the motorway lakeside and railway stations this time we were pleasantly surprised that all the rooms are being re done also bar area the new rooms look great there comfortable clean and have everything you need can’t wait to visit again for the final finish also if you want warm welcoming and happy experience this hotel is a must the staff make it Allways a smiling face

It was ok. I know they are renovating which is fine and we got moved from a double room to a garden suite room which was more roomy. I will say in the double room bath / shower. It's a bit awkward to turn on the shower as the glass partition doesn't move and I'm pretty agile. Parking is free which is good. Walls are very thin so you can here alot of people. I had paid for breakfast included in price and the first morning it was all out on the buffet. The last 2 days I had to order it whilst sitting down which wasn't ideal for getting in and out for breakfast, so ended up just taking a banana and getting breakfast at work. The eggs were very plain and mushrooms looked very bland when I did have them on the first day The stay was good. Staff were nice. Think a bit more training for the younger ones is needed. For example. It's not a biggie but I asked which red wine is a sweeter. Not a clue. Also I got charged £22 for a bottle of wine when I asked for a 250ml and a smaller glass of red wine lol. We had a laugh and said it's fine. There's no dedicated drinking water tap. I did ask but the response was "oh, we won't know the difference". Only tap water or the 750ml glass bottles. Not a biggie too Managed to do a late check out for £10 and hour which is not bad. Library was nice to sit in and get last min work doings done. Apart from that. I'm never really picky. Just expressing what could of been better. Will try this hotel again once renovated for a work trip.

Ok room, bland & practical. Comfy bed but woken late at night by fireworks going off outside, not acceptable that late. breakfast was a real let down with half the advertised items not available on the buffet table & had to request juice. Poor value.

Whilst organising for a group of 20 cyclists to stay at this beautiful venue, Joanne has been the most helpful liaison we could've hoped for. Joanne couldn't have made us feel any more welcome. During and after our stay, we have recieved nothing but glowing feedback throughout our group regarding the quality of their refurbished rooms and delicious food served at the on site restaurant. We look forward to staying with you again soon!

This hotel is set in a beautiful location. I was greeted in reception by two friend smiling faces. Check-in was a breeze. The room was very comfortable, well appointed and very clean. A really nice bar and terrace. The staff were amazing and the value for money excellent and the food was Delicious. I would highly recommend

My room smelled of cigarettes. Heating (air conditioning) didn’t work. Bathroom smelled of drainage. Bed was okay. Breakfast was good!
