The room was nothing like on Trip OR their official website. Instead of a decent well-lit 20sqm room, I had the utmost displeasure of a dim claustrophobic matchbox, where one has to squeeze themselves around the door into the bathroom, where there's no space at all - one cannot even turn around in the bathroom. See the photo for the reference (I took it at the very entrance, so there is literally nothing else in that room that you don't see in the photo). The sound isolation is non-existent and one hears everything in the corridor and the neighbouring rooms. To add to the experience, the personnel were all grumpy and passive-aggressive.
In reply to my google review, they said that the photos on Trip website were probably wrong (they are exactly the same photos as on their official website) and that they "addressed my feedback" - which, given that the photos on their website were not updated to reflect the real rooms they have, seems to be weitzer-talk for "fu".
Frankly speaking, there're so many much nicer 4-star hotels in Graz for the same price - I thought I'd get a nice experience given the historical name and reputation - but seems like all this hotel is doing is living off the legacy from the past.
