In Graz for a customer meeting and stayed in Grand Hotel Wiesler Graz for 3 nights (Jan 18 to Jan 21). Truly enjoyed this stay, Five Star for sure. The facility was built in 1909 (guessed from its WiFi password), yet the interior is very modern. The staff was very friendly and responsive, and the breakfast was the best we ever had in Europe. Plus points - the location is good and the rooms are a decent size with decent facilities Minus points - the staff friendliness was a bit hit and miss - some where great, some not so helpful. The room service was a bit patchy - one day no towels, another day tea and coffee not replenished. The parking was also not ideal - I booked this hotel because it had hotel parking. I arrived around 10pm and was told the car park was full and I'd have to find somewhere to park myself either on the road outside or search the internet for a car park close by! Not really what I wanted to hear having travelled for around 12 hours - fortunately there was one remaining space fairly close which was a relief. We were lucky for the remainder of our stay that we managed to get a space in the undeground car park. If you do get a space the car park is really good - well lit, modern and easy to park with good room for each parking space. Overall our stay was ok.

Hi arrived one Sunday evening for the Grand Prix that was taking place nearby. Check in was via an iPad which told you a code for the room and all doors. (No disinfectant next to the ipad) The whole hotel was fine - basic, comfortable, clean and cheap. For what you pay, it's value for money. One thing i was a bit concerned about was the requirement (at the time) to show you were either vaccinated, tested or recovered from COVID (3Gs). Checking in on an iPad prevented people from showing this - anyone could have had it. Car park was in the shopping centre across the road - i got a discount from the hotel, which was great. Apart from that - a nice hotel.

Located over 15 minutes away by car from the city centre, the hotel offers free carpark to attract residents. Public transport is less reliable. Check-in time is specified as 13:00-20:00. In fact, the room could only be obtained just before 18:00. This was not on the cleaning team but on the reception/management which allowed the former guest to occupy the room until 17:00 (instead of only 12:00). The wish of the previous guest was therefore on the expense of the new guest. The greetings at 13:45, 17:25 and 17:50 are somewhat excited accordingly; a friendly, warm ”Welcome” is different. When checking out, a tax will be due even though the bill has already been charged when booking. This could have been mentioned on the booking confirmation or elsewhere or at the latest when checking. Thus, when we adopt a decision, we are in a disappointing situation in the form of a discussion with a tough, brumous, apparently disturbing receptionist. The room is fully equipped: If the bathtub is to be used as a shower, a robust stop for safety would be advantageous when (glish) out. Location: in foot distance to the train station, well reachable with tram, not too far from the center, corresponding to some (but not really much) road noise until 24:00 and from 5:30.

Self-driving tour Drive from Hungary to Hallstatt, transfer in Graz, book a cheap hotel~ Hotel location: The location of the hotel is not very good. It is a certain distance from Castle Hill and the central square. After crossing the river, you can walk for about 20 minutes. Regarding parking: the hotel has an underground parking lot with sufficient parking space, 15 euros a day. After telling the front desk, it will be settled together with the room fee. You will be given a card to be collected and you can scan the code when you go out. Hotel hygiene: The hotel is relatively clean, and there are extrusion facilities, but the room is very compact, not enough to open two 28-inch suitcases Hotel facilities: Then in the morning, no one is on duty at the front desk, the hotel does not need to check out, just go straight away~ The more depressing thing is that there is no hair dryer in the room~ Since there is no one at the front desk, there is no one to borrow at the front desk.

During our three-night family stay, we found several pros to highlight: - The hotel boasts a fantastic location. We enjoyed the pool and sauna facilities. - The service provided was commendable. - Our room and restroom were both spacious and well-maintained. -The on-site restaurant offered excellent dining. -The presence of a pleasant garden was a bonus. However, there were some drawbacks to consider: -The breakfast, albeit costly, was only average in quality. -Families with children might find the pool less suitable. -The sauna's limited opening hours (starting at 17:00) might not suit everyone. -Note that the restaurant is closed on Sundays. - Strange smell from AC in the last day In conclusion, despite a few minor downsides, I would certainly recommend this hotel based on our experience.

I agree with the fellow before me. I paid for a superior double bed room and I was given a tiny corner bed a teenager would have trouble sleeping in. See pictures attached. The gal at the reception said there are no other rooms available so I was kind of forced staying here. It was 8 pm on September 5, just now. Can't even open the window, very noisy, the room is facing the pedestrian and pubs area. Room is dated, old carpets and furniture, stinky smell of tabacco. There is no AC. I asked for a fan but the hotel doesn't have any. No shower stall, just a bathtub with a hand-held shower head. Old and not practical, The receptions was not helpful at all, too busy kissing her boyfriend in front of me and another customer. Very unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. This will disappoint you. I am a heavy traveler and I must say this is one of the worst accommodations in my entire life. Skip it!

The hotel didnt appear to be far & only having hand luggage decided to walk which took us about 15mins. The hotel is convenient located near the old town with views over the river. Check in was both friendly & efficient which was appreciated as we had been travelling since early hours from the UK. We was very pleased with our room, bed was comfortable & our bathroom both roomy & well appointed. Duering our 2 day stay we very enjoyed our breakfasts served in the conservatory & I thought that the drinks we had in the hotel bar were very reasonable. There are terraced rear gardens with fabulous views & an outside pool but we resisted the temptation for a dip as it was mid February & about -4C 😁

From the service at check in through our check out, it was perfect. Great location, nice rooms, good breakfast, and convenient parking made this a ”we need to return to this hotel” event. ROOM: We stayed in 201, so this review is based on that; The room is more of a mini suite that is fit enough even for long term residence with a Kitchenette, Microwave and a reasonable big refrigerator compared to what you might find in a normal hotel room; VIEW:Sweet view of the streets ; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Nice spa quality cosmetics by HERBAL TREATS brand FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines. Small but cool indoor swimming pool SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. The rooms are very nice and spacious with all the amenities necessary. Personnel at reception and restaurant are very helpful and smiling often. The bed is very comfortable and breakfast is great with a lot of things to choose from. Wifi works well. Be aware that if you arrive after 23:00 you need to make a call to another hotel to receive the key for getting inside and in your room. Walking distance from everything in the city centre.
