Travelodge Stansted Great Dunmow

Happy stay and really love it. Staffs are friendly and rooms are perfect. Con: heater isn’t working in the room so it’s a bit cold

Saturday night visit before going to next day wedding. Happy to have stayed & was surprisingly very quiet considering Stansted airport is not far away. I didn’t hear a single plane and I’m a light sleeper.

Breakfast is a joke , not worth the money, absolutely disgusting and only 1 set of towels in the room for 2 people to have to use

This is 5/5 judged on the experience, not that it’s a 5* hotel. I had the pleasure of staying two nights as I was in the area for a wedding. Easy parking, friendly staff on all the shifts, polite, helpful and engaging. The sheets were clean and the room enormous, sure the bathroom could be updated but so what it worked. I had breakfast on one morning which was plentiful. The cooked elements were not the best quality but look at the price and be grateful. Back to the staff …. Clearly naturally nice people, thank you.

Despite being extremely busy, Karen was cool and collected delivering wonderful customer service which was very much appreciated after a day travelling. Thank you Karen, you made the end of a stressful day much easier for me and my family.

Stayed here one night after flying into Stansted, so getting a good night's sleep was important. Unfortunately this didn't happen because the fire alarm kept going off all night. The staff apologised in the morning but in a very offhand manner and didn't offer any sort of recompense. The room wasn't very clean and the bath was badly stained. Restaurant was about what you would expect. The staff there were courteous enough but service was very slow. Check in and check out were straightforward and it was cheap but not good value.

It doesn’t matter where you stay, it’s the people who work at a hotel that make a difference. We stayed at the Travel lodge Stansted for a couple of nights and found Karen. Not the stereotypical Karen, but a lovely, lovely lady working on reception and in the bar., all I can say is, I wish she was in my team. An outstanding ambassador for the hotel. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism Karen, we will definitely be visiting again soon.

Great location next to the airport. Good size of room. Clean interior. Friendly and welcoming workers.

Arrived late in the evening, after calling them earlier to let them know & they appreciated that. Nothing was too much trouble. I had to ask for a hair dryer & that was supplied straight away. We decided to have breakfast on site (something we haven't done before) & were pleasantly surprised. Plenty of choice & full breakfast was hot & replenished as soon as needed. Unlimited made it so we didn't have enough room for lunch later in the day. The selection should cater for everyone, pastries, cooked full breakfast, fruit & yogurt, cereal , the list just goes on & all for £9.99 absolute bargain. One of the staff stood out for us as she was helpful with a number of things we required & that was Andrea. Cheerful, courteous, & knowledgeable of the area. She deserves a special mention.
