The staff were extremely welcoming, and the room - though small - was really well appointed. We had a really good night’s sleep. The beer was excellent, and the food was very good. I would recommend staying here.

There was absolutely nothing i did not like about my stay. It was in a gorgeous little village where locals and tourists visit.
Everything was exactly what it said on the tin.
As a solo traveller felt very safe and welcomed especially Tom.
All staff were really friendly and that goes a long way with me.

The hotel is a classic old building, full of character but with all the attendant accessibility issues that could affect some guests. The bathrooms are very small and we seldom had hot water before 8am. On the positive side, the staff were fantastic and the food excellent. And what a beautiful location. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit

We had lunch for four on a Thursday and enjoyed our experience tremendously. The staff were excellent and attentive and the food sublime. We shall definitely return. Thank you. The lunch menu was exciting and the cheese soufflé and the trout salads were delicious.

We visited the Falkland Arms for lunch on Friday and as we were a large group of 17 we had reserved tables and preordered our meal choices. The food was excellent and we were also impressed with efficiency and friendliness of the staff with the meals arriving on time. A great range of excellent draught beers was also a plus ! I had visited the pub on a couple of occasions over the years but it was the first time for the rest and they were all very impressed with the character and charm of both the pub the village.

Visited the Falkland Arms at short notice on Sunday evening for a meal. The food was excellent and the service first rate, would most definitely recommend to anyone in the area. It's a charming old pub, with cosy little areas and a lovely outside seating area. Will definitely return to sample the rooms.
