This is a beautiful hotel, with all the facilities that you need for a perfect stay. Most importantly, it is the staff, who go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. I would particularly wish to mention Sian, who has gone above and beyond to accommodate us and to sort out a communication confusion.

I had afternoon tea here this month with my mother, who enjoys an afternoon tea as much as I do. The effort here was sad. We were offered brown or white bread, we requested brown and received a mixture, which meant I had to eat all the white ones as my mother doesn't eat white bread. The scones were crumbly, and there was only one cake each, with the exception of 4 bite size macaroons, which I don't like. Therefore we had to cut the cakes in half, again with the exception of the Macaroons which luckily my mother likes. Service was excellent. I think we were the only people having afternoon tea, and it had been booked in advance as required and a deposit paid. We did find an excellent rose to drink, though l, so every cloud has a silver lining. I would not return here for afternoon tea.

Very good, breakfast was very nice, our room 102 was lovely and quiet with good view of the gardens. Needs a bit of TLC in places but overall for the cost a very good stay in a great location.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst attending a friends wedding nearby. Whilst it was an ok hotel it certainly wasn’t 4 star! Think it has been a while since the rating has been reviewed! The room was ok but tired and dated and the bathroom was in need of refurbishment. The breakfast was below average and pastries and other cold breakfast items were not replenished meaning that if you went for breakfast a little later you missed out! The staff were all friendly enough but probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Check in was welcoming. Car park to entrance was far. Room was in attic. Small room the desk side chair cushion worn so uncomfortable to work from. Dinner service staff not suitably trained. Breakfast was average. Much improvement required.

Check in was worst I’ve experienced. Stayed on our wedding night. Not worth the £250 a night we paid. Not a luxury hotel. Was given interconnecting room so could hear everything from next door. Bath and bathroom had mould and jets in bath didn’t work. Pool was dirty and freezing. Staff all seemed miserable.

Urine stains on mattress, mattress protector and duvet, only noticed this due to a hole in the mattress. Pillows had stains on. Even duvets in their linen cupboard have brown strains on! Staff rude, said we've been kind me enough to not charge you (thanks for a bed I couldn’t sleep in) manager wouldn’t even go look at the bed said it was a cleaning error and new people in the room now, not knowing what they are sleeping on 😳
