This hotel is located within the campus of UBC. So it is quite convenient if you visit your kids there. The hotel is quite new, and all facilities are in good conditions. But the room size is not very big.

The hotel is right inside the school, in a student apartment style, with a shared laundry room and many washing machines and dryers, which is very convenient. The kitchen facilities are very complete, including a kettle and a coffee pot, so you don't need to use a coffee pot to boil water for drinking. I just suggested changing the inner core of the pillow. After patting the pillow, the fluff flew all over the phone and the socket next to it. We kept sneezing, and finally went to the front desk to change two pillows.

There is no breakfast at UBC, but there is a fast food restaurant Tim Hostons downstairs.

Such a nice spot, it was cheaper than so many other hotels that looked sketchy or not clean. Only downside is being pretty far from downtown/stanley park etc but upside is that you’re really close to nice beaches and walks!

The room itself has good quality furniture and space, but the front doors do not reach the ground so you can hear everything from all rooms in the hallway. Be aware people can hear you too when you are in your room.

The description and the pictures on the website do not match the actual suites. The amenities they said were in the rooms are not and the mini fridge is leaking. I am now stuck here for an entire week and I don’t have any options, but I am really disappointed in the quality of this room and feel like I’ve been conned. Do not stay here.

I stayed in the saltwater Orca building and it was clean and modern. Nice room ( small but functional) Bed was great. No cable but smart TV for Netflix and apps. Laundry machines also available in building.

We found the rooms clean and comfortable. This is a good option to save some money compared to downtown Vancouver if you don't need to be within walking distance of downtown locations.
