Landlord is very nice. The house is clean and lovely. It's like b&b and you will share the bathroom with others. Overall I think it is pretty good.😊

I stayed here for two nights recently for my trip to Vancouver. This was a last-minute booking and my first time here. I chose this hotel over the other I had previously stayed in just for the location. The location is a roughly 5-10min walk to Granville street Skytrain. The location also offers a lot of restaurants nearby and 7-11 and McDonald's which are 24hr if you are hungry in the middle of the night. When I arrived it was just at 11 am and they had my room ready and let me check in early which was nice. The room itself was really small but okay just for one person. The only things I didn't like were the pillows heart my neck being so big and the small shower with a rain head, very inconvenient when you don't want to get your hair wet.....right ladies!!! For sleep quality it was okay, my room faced the Staples right on Seymour it was quite a noisy street to be on so just beware. To note I had only booked for the night but ended up having to stay another the hotel offered me a better rate than what I had originally booked on Expedia for roughly $10 or something less and then also offered me a late check-out.

i enjoyed the hotel resort..Conveniently located in Richmond...Easily accessible to everything. Preferable to have a car. Sky train was avail , but we had our own vehicle. Resort fees includes the parking which is good compared to other hotels nearby that charges $50/night for parking. I definitely would recommend to stay here. Room sizes are large, good entertainment.

I have stayed here many times and find the hotel and amenities are perfect for my business travels. The excellent location across from Landsdowne Mall is perfect to stroll around and Skytrain is only 5 mins away.

We were in town to attend a family birthday which did not include dinner so I chose this hotel because i wanted to go to the iconic Tiki Bar. Upon checking in we were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room with mostly original decor still being used that gave it the iconic vibe. When we decided it was time to eat we found out from the desk girl that all the eating establishments at the hotel were closed for renovation. This should have been divulged at the time I booked; it is important information as there is no places close by to eat & the price of the room was not discounted to reflect the lack of facilities. We were also concerned about the safety of our vehicle but everything was fine & we were surprised how quiet it’s was (we were facing the rear parking area). The bed was comfy & we slept well.

Ah, the Panda Pod Hotel! Marketed as the first capsule hotel in the Greater Vancouver Area (GVA), this relatively new establishment seeks to provide “modern and affordable” accommodation in the GVA. The Panda Pod, which opened in late April 2019, takes its influence from the pod hotels of Asia. When you check in, you’re given access to a total of three lockers for your personal belongings: A shoe locker, a locker for your backpack (if you have one), and a locker for your carry-on baggage. The gracious Panda Pod staff will also store one piece of standard-sized luggage free of charge, but anything beyond that will cost a very reasonable $5 for each additional item. My journey to the Panda Pod was kind of interesting. I was gearing up for some business meetings in Vancouver and, as usual, was a bit late on the draw in booking a hotel room. All of my typical haunts were fully booked, so I tried other hotels in the GVA, including those in Burnaby, Coquitlam, North Vancouver, Vancouver-proper and Richmond. Everything was totally booked – including the crappy Richmond Travelodge (see my earlier review on this site) – except for a couple of the Fairmont properties. And given that we were still in Vancouver’s “summer” season, the rates at the Fairmont hotels were nothing short of outlandish (between $800 to $1200 PER NIGHT). Then it dawned on me: “Hey! I remember reading something about a pod hotel opening . . .” So, I looked up the Panda Pod and noted, 1) There was availability for the night I needed; and, 2) The rate was practically unbeatable @ $65 + tax. Really, when it comes to value for money, this is where the Panda Pod shines: If you’re looking for a clean, friendly and safe place to stay, you can’t beat these prices . . . especially during “summer” season rates. [Of course, I subsequently found out why virtually every hotel was booked. It just so happened that during my meetings, the UBCM was holding their annual conference AND Elton John was visiting Vancouver as part of his world tour. I’m sure it was just a coincidence that the UBCM was meeting at this time ;) ] In any event, I guess what I’m saying is as long as you know what the Panda Pod Hotel is then you should be most satisfied with what you get: It’s not a hotel in the traditional sense; that is, you don’t get a private room, nor is there an on-site restaurant. Thanks to the unique pod structure you get what are essentially shared accommodations, split by gender (male and female). Each individual pod has a fairly comfortable mattress to sleep on; a foldable “desk” (and I use that term generously); hooks to hang items like a coat or hat; and a pull-down screen over the pod entrance for privacy. The hotel also features a shared lounge (with vending machine), washroom facilities and showers. In short, the Panda Pod isn’t fancy, but it’s cozy and functional. The host is very friendly. The room was very clean. Everything went great. The host directly messaged me to ask about arrival time and was very flexible. Before leaving, she offered some delicious quick breakfast and snack items. I would definitely book this place again in the future.

My husband and I stayed one night at the Burnaby location in order to attend a dinner function nearby. We checked into our room and the heater was already on and set at 68 and seemed to be working OK. Shortly after we arrived in the room, a maintenance person knocked on the door to see how the heater was working. That should have clued us in as to what would happen next. A bit later, the unit started to spit out cooler air. I might add that the unit never cycled off and on as it should. I turned the unit up to around 72 to see if that would make a difference but no it did not. We contacted the front desk and within 5 minutes, maintenance came to check. We were told that the heater had to remain at 68, no higher or it wouldn’t work. I have never heard of such a thing. High temperature in Vancouver was mid 40's dipping into the 30's at night. By this time, it was 5:30 and we had to head out the door for the dinner event at 6PM. I wish we would have demanded a different room, because when we returned it was definitely cooler in the room. We were both tired and needed to leave the hotel early in the morning so we decided to “gut it out”. I looked for additional blankets and there were none. I wound up sleeping a total of 2 hours in my coat. This was not a comfortable experience.  I am generously giving this property 2 stars as the room itself was clean and the bedding was comfortable. The front desk clerk kindly gave us a 50% discount for our discomfort which was the best she could do, but when I contacted their HQ was offered a 50% discount off a future stay. Don't think I will take them up on that offer, but thanks anyway.

Hotel is located across a Chinese Mall with lots of eating options. The room comes with a simple cooking facility and utensils where you can bake a simple meal. Breakfast comes with basic items like pastries, yogurt, cereals, fruit, juice, coffee. There are 3 hot breakfast items got rotated daily which got bored easily.

We recently stayed at the Days Inn Langley location. Do not let the age of this hotel turn you off...it's well maintained - some areas show some wear and tear, but the rooms are large and the staff is exceptional. They were very accommodating to the group we were with and always pleasant to deal with! Wouldn't hesitate to book here again!
